Mariyam Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 None. Yes has to top all subjects in order to be number one.otherwise its all phony ranking. If I chose French as third language in school, should I have to go and top the French exam in France to be considered as a true #1/ topper? Because topping exams in my own backyard is not enough for #1, I'm afraid.
Rajiv Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 None. Yes has to top all subjects in order to be number one.otherwise its all phony ranking. None? so we start from 3 or 4
Dayman Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 It seems people don't understand basic rankings. Someone HAS to be #1. You can't start a list at #2. And India is currently the best team, so we're #1.
kabira Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 None. Yes has to top all subjects in order to be number one.otherwise its all phony ranking. so why did you not cry and run to principle...or even to you dada....Papa Chintu number 1 aaya hai but Maths mein to mene top kiya tha to wo kaise number 1 aaya
Rajiv Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 LOL, this was in the 4th standard - I got 22 out of 50 in Chemistry and I was scared to tell those *****y marks at home. So I came home all happy and jolly, told my mother - Hey mummy, I came 3rd highest in Chemistry today, she saw the paper and shouted its only 22...I was like yes but the highest was 28, then 26 and then me..my bluff didn't work and I had to study more of stupid chemistry
kabira Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 ^you had a chemistry in 4th standard??? Damn, I did not even know chemistry was in 4th standard
Mariyam Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 LOL' date=' this was in the 4th standard - I got 22 out of 50 in Chemistry and I was scared to tell those *****y marks at home. If you didn't take the chemistry exam in the chemistry lab, you can't be #3. Edit: 4th standard mein chemistry?? Mumbai mein??

Rajiv Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I think it was chemistry or maybe geography - I dont remember but it was something I hated
kabira Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I think Kid asked wrong question, He should have asked can this team be considered as dominant as Aussie great team or Windies great team... Then it would have been good thread.
Indian Pride Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Yes has to top all subjects in order to be number one.otherwise its all phony ranking. By definition of a ranking system, somebody has to be at the top and someone at the bottom. So someoone has to be number 1. It can be held jointly also. In terms of test playing nations someone of the current lot has to be number 1. Ahliya, who would you have as number 1? You cannot have a joint 2nd and no 1st but you can have a joint 1st.
Cricketics Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I remember in India during 3rd-4th grade, all Chem-Bio-Physics were together as one subject as Science. And so was Geography, history, Civics as - EVS.
yoda Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 ......untill it beat all test playing nations in their own backyard. Discuss. what about front yard? also, what if you win by 100 runs in one test, but lose by 300 in another? what if rain takes away a game which one of the teams was poised to win?
Karan114 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Funny how a vast majority of the non-Indian fans claim India is not the "real" no.1 because they only win at home (even though we've won in NZ, twice in WI, England and have drawn in SA and SL) but the same majority claims England will be the real no.1 if they can beat India in home conditions (England haven't won in India in nearly 3 decades). End of the day, its been 18 months since India have been at no.1...most of these people who whine about India's "fake" no.1 status would be having multiple orgasms if their teams were no.1 for that long.

Cricketics Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Social Studies for us ya in Delhi, it wsa social studies from 4-5. but in 3rd grade that S.S.T used to be called EVS for some reason. I remember lining up my books in my bookbag in this order ENGLISH HINDI - used to have lot of red marks inside. MATHS SST SCIENCE
Rajiv Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 saale, I had to learn Marathi too...then jumped to french in class 8..interestingly the students who didn't pick french were considered vern's
Cricketics Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 saale' date=' I had to learn Marathi too...then jumped to french in class 8..interestingly the students who didn't pick french were considered vern's[/quote'] We had option to take Sanskirt or french in 5th grade or 5th 6th grade. I took sanskrit or I guess they just gave it to me. French was I think given to kool kids who used to top or used to have over 90% something. I sucked at sanskrit and they had to give me french for few years. I still remember Sanskrit though Harti harath haranti harti harat harat: harami harav haram
zen Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 The ranking says Ind has been #1 since Dec 2009 :dontknow:
jhakati Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Ahilya is a moron.... ......until he can prove otherwise. Discuss. nothing to discuss, very apparent
