He will be asked to bowl in a certain way by Dhoni, not that he can bowl aggressively, bowlers bowl to a plan set by the captain. When Yadav is bowled, he will be the strike bowler as he can bowl pace. BKumar will be told to bowl defensively. Unless we have 2 strike bowlers in tandem, this has always been the case. Srinath and Prasad, Zak and Munaf or aandu pandu. Given his role, VK bowled in control without giving away too many gimme-fours that Ishant bowls.

Yeah. This is the reason they dropped Yadav. He was not up to the mark. It is alright to go for wicket but pitches like these you dont need to do too much just pout the ball in good length, shot of good length area and there was enough for every bowler in it whether you have pace or not and here Yadav was not doing well, was spraying the ball. Vinay is a bowler who can hit these areas consistently and that is what he did.

If that was the case why was VK underbowled .... Only 6 overs and if I remember correctly he did not create Any major opportunity to get a Wicket....... It wAs a horrible pitch surviving was Tuf.....BK got thru mahela and their inform opener VK cud not get sanga and Lahiru.......Umesh wud have got them for sure.

or he would have given away loads of runs,his ER is 6 so thats 20 runs more which would mean we would be chasing 220-this woulda coulda can be done both ways.

We were playing a heavy Tennis ball match on a Cement Pitch( cement pitch makes the heavy ball run Fast) I opened the batting in a 15 over Match ....oponent had 1 super fast bowler This fast bowler ripped part our team and I stood the ground by playing straight n Defensive though slow.....he took 6 wickets n he ws pretty quick on the cement pitch Heavy tennis ball ws running super fast..... All of us attacked all other bowlers and could score good runs but this guy Ws good line n length and I intend to say that Pace marks the bowler As aggressive......that's half the battle Won. I had to play Safe

Vinay should be used by India as our workhorse bowler in these meaning less tournaments. Like against Zim. He is strictly ok as a bowler.

I wud pick shammi mohit and Unadkat ahead of VK I believe shammi mohit and unadkat may focus to Take wickets n be a bit aggressive .....shammi bounces, Mohit swings and Unadkat is a left arm medium...... VK wishes to just restrict scoring ......it is DEFENSIVE... To stop scoring one shud try to take wickets...... With new ball if u just suceed in oponnents not scoring well They wud score later.....if u get a gayle kinda batsman to be calm in first 5 Few over.....he will kill later bowlers......
