They should've known Zak was doubtful and had him on standby RP didn't knwo that he is going to be picked until the the next day after ODI squad was announced. Zaheer was picked in ODI squad. Hopefully RP would replace him for ODI's too and won't just fil in for tests.

He is a swing bowler at a decent pace, not 115-120K of PK and is more accurate than Sree.

He doesn't quite pick up four, but it's a top shot all the same

What about the other 58 balls where he was hovering, or in your terms (trundling) at 124-133?

Because he knows there is no need to put too much effort against these batsmen on this pitch. I have already said If a bowler can bowl around 135K and can swing both ways with control he will always be handy. PK is slow but has control, Sreesahnth does not have control. Fast bowling is not about going for all out pace all the times. It is about being smart and assess when to go all out and when to hold back. LIek Styen, when conditions are helpful, he tries to swing at around medium pace 130-135, and when there is no help, he goes for pace.
