you mean to say PK is a pathetic bowler? comeon rett! i din expect this form someone like u.. that guy surely is a pretty good shot
In tests, I would classify PK as poor

Well, time will tell.. If PK is not a quality test bowler over time his performances and statistics will show. And that will either vindicate your stand, or that of those supporting him. Till now he has been bowling quite well, I must say.

You need time to find out whether PK is a poor test bowler :haha:

Yes I do. He has been bowling quite well till date and I wont him write off just because he is a trundler. And especially when we dont have any tearaway fast bowler waiting in the ranks.

In tests' date=' I would classify PK as poor[/quote'] oh .. and how come u come to that conclusion? between, he has been doing well whenever he was given the chance.. the thing that other players eithee keep getting injured or play so poorly that he gets to bowl the opening overs isnt his fault according to me he will be our hot shot in the next world cup

PK fails at the minimun critera to be a successful test bowler, i.e. be capable of at least bowling over 85 mph If what we are seeing is now is what's the best he is capable of then he is poor :icflove:

Already replied to the first part I am mainly talking about tests .... 2015 ODI WC is too far away

But the alternatives you suggest appear to be 10 times worse. So we have to live with what we have.
No decent bowler can be 10 times worse than PK :winky:

The criteria to be representing the country is to be consistently doing better than the guys waiting in the ranks and PK is doing that. Whether or not that leads to him being a successful test bowler, only time will tell.

Hope praveen can lift his pace.Praveen +pace=almost dale steyn.
Hope Toyoto can improve Corolla's chassis and engine. Corolla + better chassis and engine = almost Audi S4 :P Wake up!

rett i wish to get back at this at end of this test series ;) or get pwned :D
If players do well, then don't mind getting pawned as at the end of the day, I wish everyone representing Ind to do well .... if I cared abt getting pawned, I would make more diplomatic statements :P But that doesn't stop me from calling a spade a spade :winky:

Please run to stats guru :giggle:
Yes. If you could show Praveen averaging 50 like Mohammad sami who incidentally could clock 94 mph easily you would make lot of sense. Infact you will have people quing up to support you. Alternatively if you could show another fast bowler who could outbowl Praveen comfortably it would have made sense. None of it happened. Infact Chris Tremlett bowled largely at 75 to 79 mph roughly Praveen's pace. He averages better than any Indian bowlers out there.

^ I agree. Rett's argument would have valid if we either had much more promising fast bowlers in the ranks or PK's own poor performances, both of which haven't happened yet.

The best of Md Sami is probably better than the best of PK, which is nothing (and you yourself claimed that Tremlett, in terms of avg, bowled better than all Indian bowlers) :winky:
