Sooda Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Police have not been able to do much not so much because what they are and not allowed to do, more because of the lack of numbers and the fact that they were totally taken by surprise in the first two days. Lets face it they probably would not have expected anything like that, especially the spread of it across London. The priority was to take care of fire crews also. There were 6k police out on SUnday night, even 8 or so would have made a difference I imagine. All that was needed was a presence as last night showed. These thugs are not people with a mission, they will back off scared if stood up to. Asian shop owners in East London got together to defend their properties and did so successfully.

Businesses charred, people made homeless by fire, vigilantes killed by passing vehicles. If only the police had not been neutered by the senseless liberalism, Sooda. Consider this.... in most countries of the world, the police are protected by having the facility to use water cannons, plastic bullets, tear gas and even live rounds. In Britain, the only way to control baying mobs is through hand to hand combat. Less effective because of its one to one nature, more dangerous for the police, more expensive for the taxpayers as you need far greater police numbers to enforce this. Decision making at its myopic worst.

Masked hoodies rampaging gleefully through city centres even at normal times- would you dare go out for a late meal? You compare that with well behaved young men & women in the Scandinavian countries, in places like Germany & Austria and you realise the terrible price paid by Britain for its humane, kind approach to immigration. With Britain, it's historical Rajiv- you were asking why the dissenters of the world end up here? British policy has always been that it doesn't turn away people who claim to be distressed or persecuted in their own countries. Remember the thousands of Ugandan-Indians who flocked here during the Idi Amin days? Sadly, such magnanimity is open to abuse and the country is now seen as a soft touch by economic migrants and people who are generally looking for a safe harbour to park their leaky boats.

More worried about the scum bags committting the crime, then the victims. Police are to scared to take action and enforce law and order. A riot is going on and then a teen/young adult gets injured and is sitting on the pavement...the bugger is bleeding from his face. He looks half white / half black. A black guy comes and tries to help him and is inspecting his face. It's an open area with many ppl around. The injured fellow is carrying his bag on his back (like a regular school bag). A white guy and a couple of other black guys come in the disguise of helping him and they start looking in his bag and looting him! The black guy who was saying kind words suddenly changes heart and starts to dig through the bag as well. khule aam din dahade! Damn what the fu

Unfair to blame immigration. Most (90%+) of the looters were either White (English) or Black (possibly been here all their life) Immigrants were the ones protecting the streets.
