Yes, he's top calss. Chips in with the bat every now and then. Crucial bowler. Also, would bowl like a spinner like almost 40 overs. THIS GUYS WILL BE IN OUR LINE UP EVEN AFTER 10 YEARS. HE'S THAT GOOD.

:hehe::hehe::hehe: Hope not. Dude should retire in 2 years. Doesnt have pace, doesnt have wickets etc. Stop-gap arrangement at best. But hardly a world beater. Has a great heart though and makes most of his abilities but 10 years as lead bowler??? Really?

Agreed. He is a stop gap arrangement at best unless he can get quicker by 7-8Mph.

You don't have to have pace to be a top bowler iN Int'l level I am not saying lead bower. But he's good enough to stay in Indian line up for 10 years. R.p Singh and all those guys weren't that special when they initially came. It's been almost 5 years now to them. PK is a proven performer who bowls swing all the time. Can easily get wicket.

needs a touch more pace and boy he is he quality, but may not be able to swing it in subcontinent, so will have to wait and see. Dhoni well in mate

can't say he will be same in subcontinent tests. But he is a safe bet in ODIs . A good new ball bowler , can give you some early wickets and handy as a lower order batsman.

On flat tracks (sub continent wickets)' date=' he'll struggle.[/quote'] He has done quite well in domestic cricket compared to other Indian bowlers on flat tracks

But sure , he deserves his chances in subcontinent as well. When things are not going his way he never lets his head hang down, and will keep try. Ishant needs to learn this thing from him.

Funny, how people keep saying that. He got all the wickets in subcontinent on placid tracks all over India and thats how he got chance to play in the challenger trophy and eventually Indian test team. Now our Ranji batting stalwarts can be really good and PK is a proven performer against them.

He could be the perfect stock bowler (devastating with the new ball for upto 10 overs) then disciplined to hold up one end and bowl all day long and chip with the bat a little. Ideal 3rd seamer.

Yeah he certainly bowls like spinner. he is looking the best in this mediocre performing team.

This mediocre bowler will take over 350 odi wickets and over 300 test wickets surely.

Lets snap out of that mentality. Not having pace but still being a top bowler is for bowlers like Mcgrath, Pollock, Hadlee etc. PK, and other trundlers who manage to pick swing in helping conditions and are otherwise down in the dumpsters should not be a contender for a top bowling spot...definitely not if we intend to be Number 1. Problem of course is in the end PK will get picked up because other speedsters (Zahir Khan aside) are all piece of cra@p too.:((

lets not compare all our bowlers to mcgrath... rofl even with speed our bowlers cant clean mcgraths shoes.

Asif was 78mph and he was best bowler alongside Steyn. Kumar needs to develop a little bit more guile to become on the level of Glenn McGrath and Kapil Dev.
