I agreed that bradman was better purely based on his phenomenal average. Apart from that I doubt very much that either of us can prove one way or another if anyone else can claim to be better than SRT. Frankly most people who have watched cricket across the various decades place SRT at second place. Quite frankly I will take their word over yours. I know one series is hardly a metric to judge someone's career and I still think he is best batsman of modern day cricket, I cannot imagine this cannot NOT hurt. After a meteoric rise from the dead over the last 3 years which culminated in the euphoria of the WC win, it was perfect time to bow out on top. But, he decidedly to carry on...fair enough. But this was one anticipated series and when the eyes were on him, he did not deliver. Not just failure, but looked completely out of sorts like he is in a deep slump. I am wondering what he is going to do next? Call it quits or fight his way out to the top again. Unfortunately, the Aussie tour is the last major overseas tour that we can salvage some pride back because after that India is going to play at home for a while. Great opportunity missed and will give the critics ammunition to say that he did not perform well against the best in tough conditions. :((:((

At times he made some of the bowlers look like demon bowlers and the track was unplayable meanwhile Mishra was extremely assured in defence and attack. I would attribute it to burden of expectations (not billion's, but may be his own).. and having too much of experience. For Mishra, lack of experience worked in his favor, to play with clear mind.

Sometimes, you have to knuckle down and fight a rearguard action on day 5 to save a match. I think it's a bit late for him to learn this now
