Is this true? Whats the story behind this? All I know is that in some school tournament they both scored 100+ runs or something, i.e at that point in time they were considered to be equally talented. From what I recollect, Sachin was a good friend to Kambli. When the latter was out of form, didn't Sachin still insist on Kambli being a part of the Indian team? We need more such gossip/masala stories to make cricket more exciting.
When both where in the team, Sachin was having bad run, was not scoring much, Kambli was going great guns in both ODI and test. But Sachin kept working hard, practicing, focusing on cricket. He did not go out partying with his friend Kambli :--D...So he backstabbed Kambli and put hard work in his cricket. Soon Kambli was found out with short pitch stuff lose his spot, but Sachin kept working hard. So there you go Sachin backstabbed Kambli to go ahead. He should have been partying as well. :--D:--D:--D
