Not much is said about these 3 bowlers when we talk about the great bowlers of last few years....Regardin Modern Bowlers it all seems to end up with Glenn Mcgrath and Wasim Akram....and then Curtly Ambrose. Thanks to RKT for posting that Donald video......here are the stats of these bowlers..... Shaun Pollock 421 wickets @ 23.11 with a SR of 57.8.........in 108 tests Avgs less than 25 againist all countries except Australia againist whom he avgs 36. Avgs less than 30 in all countries except Australia where he avgs 34. Pollock and Donald opening the bowling Waqar as 1st change for looking for a wicket. Pollock is steady and consistent and seams it Donald swings it and has plenty of pace Waqar is a bowler who can reverse it and every team needs one especially in sub-continent. Pollock with his slow pace will get smashed when the ball gets old and Donald would bowl fast and it would go faster off the bat. There are 3 different bowlers so you can't compare them. I would have them in my bowling attack.

With that S/R Pollock is not good enough to be compare with Waqar & Donald. Waqar is better than than both. He has better S/R and similar average but played on dead tracks most of his career. He would love to bowl on SA pitches like Donald most of his career. Only bowler who was as destructive as Waqar was Marshall.

Donald always opened the bowling in tests, in one-dayers he was a first change bowler because white ball swings a lot initially and Donald found it difficult to control the swing.

Waqar for his S/R Noone in the world has that kind of S/R for 300+ wickets.... Though Donald and Pollock are also great bowlers

If ball tampering is made legal, then Waqar else Donald. Had he not lost first 3-4 years of his youth due to ban on SA, Donald could easily have ended with 450+ wickets.
