His sequence of scores reads 122*, 12, 22, 176, 76, 100*, 167, 82*, 0*, 47, 20 in Ranji Trophy and 93 and 18 in the Irani Trophy. Thats 933 runs in 13 inings at an average of 104! Mighty impressive stats. Has now surpassed Abhinav Mukund as the top aggregate run scorer in the 2011-12 season.

When he gets it right he looks impossible to play. Lots to work with there for me. been following the match on BCCI.tv and honestly can say Romesh Powar out bowled him

Might have bowled well but Powar is a veteran of 100+ matches and plying an easier trade (offspin). No need to rush to hasty calls. sure I just said he has been disappointing. Not saying we should never call him up for test matches. but look at Sharma's economy rate.

When his teammate, Mukul Dagar misfielded off his bowling, RP Singh looked at him with disgust. Later on, when Tanmay Srivastava effected a great stop, RP went over too him and put in an exaggerated display of appreciation. It was sarcastically aimed at Dagar. What was surprising is that RP Singh himself isn’t the best fielder around and yet he put in such reactions. Such were his theatrics that captain Suresh Raina had to have a word with him. In a fit of rage, the left-armer threw his goggles on the ground and then kicked them. Things got worse when he slipped and fell while bowling his 12th over. He injured his ankle and had to leave the field. :facepalm:

Having taken the first innings lead, they still have a chance to go through to the QF ahead of Saurashtra, who have finished at 16 points, same as UP will have if they do not lose this match. UP are ahead on the run quotient Bengal also have a lead over Baroda and have nearly avoided relegation unless they somehow go onto to lose the match from here.
