Anderson isn't, Broad is quicker. I was at the tests sitting in the stand behind the bowlers, speed gun and watching live point to Broad being quicker. Ishant averages 136k, occasionally hits 140 once in an over. Broad was bowling some overs that were regularly above 140, hit 145k in one.

You have to hone the basics to perfection like fitness, technique, skill. Thats all it is. Except this has to be done when a player first picks up a ball, not when they are in their 20's and are about to represent a billion people. I am not sure what you are trying to prove. If you are talking about the speed, then there have been several bowlers who have cranked it up above 145+ on several occassion and about 2-3 bowlers who have bowled above 150+. That is genuine quick. They have not been able to sustain it for a longer duration is a different topic altogether ! And indeed, Bresnan and Broad are not quick. They are roughly of the same pace that Ishant is and on a normal day, Sreesanth is.

In Vijay Hazaare trophy final, he bowled at an average speed of 144K. His last delivery in IPL was 150K and recently in in Aus, EPT, according to his coach, he bowled 140+ whole day with crossing 150 several times. Even here, his last delivery was easily 145K, look at how batsman came down the track but played hurriedly in the end as ball came too quickly too him. Some bowlers are like that who dont look quick with runup or action but they actually are deceptively quick. Yes......same goes with Umesh Yadav,he doesn't look quick but he is very sharp.

Really????These are only genuine quicks in the world.....Eng:-Broad(when in rhythm),SA:-Steyn,Morkel,Ind:-Ishant(when in rhythm),Umesh,Aus:-Johnson,Lee,Sri:-Malinga,Pak:-Gul(when in rhythm),Riaz,NZ:-None,WI:-Roach,Edwards.Nuwan Pradeep of Srilanka,Aaron from India,Adam Milne of NZ,Cummins of Aus,Meaker of Eng,Pascal of WI are some upcoming fast bowlers.So genuine fast bowlers nowadays are really rare commodity.

Broad was bowling some overs that were regularly above 140, hit 145k in one.[/quote'] I agree with u at present but Broad was nowhere near Ishant when he was 22.Broad is 26 now & looks stronger.Every fast bowlers in terms of pace are at their peak between 25-28.Ishant of 26 will be quicker than Broad of 26 for sure.Ishant will grow into a 140-145kph bowler on an average basis when he enters his peak.Now though he's more of an 135-140kph range bowler.

You cant say with any degree of certainty how quick he is bowling.

If you are biased enough you could even say he bowled at 160 mph.

It is going to be up and down. As a bowler you have to increase your skill and wilyness. Zaheer operates mostly at 135k. But he is excellent at setting up a batsman. With Ishant it is pretty erratic.
