saneindian Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-india-2011/content/story/531188.html Manoj Tiwary, the Bengal batsman, has been named as the replacement for Rohit Sharma in India's ODI squad in England. Rohit fractured his right index finger during the first ODI in Durham and has been ruled out of the remainder of the series -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tiwary may get to play one of the ODIs and will be interesting to see how he does there. In WI he looked far too nervous.
BoomBoomAfridi Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Does he play for KKR? If he does then he is the good one.
Andy Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Does he play for KKR? If he does then he is the good one.
Andy Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 The Lad is talented for sure, but needs to work on his technique.
Hell Raiser Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Good selection. they have selected the right Tiwary.
Yoda-esque Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011  Manoj Tiwary has neither the technique nor the temperament at this level
Andy Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I am surprised they didnt call Vijay and Dhoni's assistant Saha.
Yoda-esque Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I am surprised they didnt call Vijay and Dhoni's assistant Saha. Both are worthless
asterix Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Good choice. Unfortunately he got his chance due to the injury to lazy aaarse Nohit..He should grab his chance. The way Lazy aarse Nohit was going about his business, it was just a matter of time for any sorts of injury. Tiwary is a good fielder in the deep (which Nohit isn't). So all in all a good developement although at the expence of the lazy aarse..
Sachinism Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I am surprised they didnt call Vijay and Dhoni's assistant Saha. If they got picked you wouldve been moaning. They haven't been picked and your still moaning. Stfu
1983-2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 yusuf pathan would have been better choice but i guess that he will be sent to england once tendulkar is ruled out tomorrow.
Andy Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 If they got picked you wouldve been moaning. They haven't been picked and your still moaning. Stfu Get a Sarcasm detector you tard.
Andy Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 When so many of your players are out due to injury its hard to find proper replacements. Jadeja's selection was a joke, This is still OK. I want to see Uthappa back sometime. Yusuf Pathan looks like he has been permanently dumped, played really well in SA.
Number Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 If Sachin gets ruled out of series , I have a feeling Dhoni will play jadeja ahead of Tiwary. PaPa , Rahane , Dravid , Kohli , Raina , Jadeja , Dhoni , Ashwin , aaron/vinay, Munaf , PK.
Andy Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 If Sachin gets ruled out of series ' date=' I have a feeling [b']Dhoni will play jadeja ahead of Tiwary. PaPa , Rahane , Dravid , Kohli , Raina , Jadeja , Dhoni , Ashwin , aaron/vinay, Munaf , PK. This, this is where it hurts.
saneindian Posted September 4, 2011 Author Posted September 4, 2011 They have named the replacement today, add 3 days for the paperwork, Tiwary will reach England on the morning or evening before the 3rd ODI. So at best he will be available for just 2 ODIs. Perhaps they should name another batsman as cover for Sachin as well. And a couple of pacers too if possible.
saneindian Posted September 4, 2011 Author Posted September 4, 2011 If Sachin gets ruled out of series , I have a feeling Dhoni will play jadeja ahead of Tiwary. PaPa , Rahane , Dravid , Kohli , Raina , Jadeja , Dhoni , Ashwin , aaron/vinay, Munaf , PK. Tiwary will not be available till Thursday/Friday. So in all likelihood the lineup you have named is going to play the next 2 ODIs. BTW any news on Jadeja? Has he reached England yet or still in India?
Sachinism Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Get a Sarcasm detector you tard. You spend most of your time on this board whining like a *****, don't get your panties in a twist if you suddenly picked up a sense of humour and nobody detected it

BTW any news on Jadeja? Has he reached England yet or still in India? oh .. Now I just hope Jadeja does well. In all that Raina will have to play more responsible role at no 5 and Eng. has called his nemesis swann back for 2nd ODI. No news on Jadeja's joining till now, may be will have to wait till tomorrow.
