Nah, he is too quick and hostile. As guests we should not mistreat our hosts. The Kumars are perfect including Munaf Kumar. We Indians have unleashed on the world of cricket -- pacers without pace and spinners without spin. I am waiting for the day when we produce batsmen or batters without bat. :--D

Look at trundlers vs pacer stats, there have been very few mcgrath and pollock in modern day cricket....

As long as output is the same what difference it makes.
but who has the more spark to be effective and successful in future and as history suggests every champion team had genuine pacers in them to contribute and form a variety attack.

Look at WI team of 80's and even early 90's the likes of Holding, Marshall, Garner. Look at even Pakistan the reason they used to be a top team is because of fast bowlers like Imran khan, Wasim and Waqar. Australia had Lillee, thomson. And we have the fearsome foursome in Munaf patel, vinay kumar, praveen and rp singh

Barring injury to other players I don't think he will play, poor guys waiting all that time for a game , his confidence and faith in his bowling already might be shaken. With England series and India in Austarlia next I am sure any one with common sense and no viable options would opt for him, gameplan shouldve been out Vinay , Aaron to bowl three overs of sharp spells, bouncers yorkers try intimidate. There is no doubt he has pace the fastest Indian bowler I have seen,I have seen him bowl entire day at 140 plus, 145 k no effort , regularly above 147 k in certain spells and upto 153 k.This is serious pace, that is the reason Akram is confounded, now I will not be surprised after everything that has transpired he will play under Dhoni and play safe , knowing his captain wil not support him or does not know the value of impact bowlers,India needs a new captain.

PK is injured and might not play. Will Aaron get a chance or will it be the more "experienced" Kooooomar? :fear:
vinay kumar deserves it, he has the best slower ball in India right now

Apparently they are far better in tests -- Shoaib has a test average of 25.7 , Lee has more than 4 wickets per test ... not bad eh.. -- List of pacers with test bowling averages of 26 or less and more than 200 test wickets would mostly consist of either genuine quicks for atleast the first 6/7 yrs of their career like Waqar, Ambrose, Holding, Roberts, Marshall, Donald, Steyn, Lilee OR tall fast-medium bowlers ( fast-medium for atleast the first 6/7 yrs of their career ) who got extra bounce like McGrath, Pollock, Garner, Gillespie, Akram, I can remember only Richard Hadlee, who was a medium height fast-medium bowler, who had a superb bowling average. But he was a master of swing. How many medium pacers are there who have test bowling averages of 26 or less with more than 200 test wickets ? I would really like the members who are indifferent about the importance of pace / bounce to answer this or I will take it that they are accepting that pace/ bounce are very important. -- Genuine quicks help other bowlers take wickets by softening up batsmen. -- A great pace bowler need not be the fastest in the world. He should have sufficient pace and / or bounce to hurry the batsmen and soften them up with bouncers from time to time.
