coffee_rules Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 why kanchan sings only few songs for bollywood? kya khoob lagti hoo,badi sunder dikhti hoo she sang this song with mukesh in dharmatma movie of feroz+hema anyone had watched this movie? Because the quality of her voice was inferior to some of the top female singers of her time - Lata, Asha, etc.

Yoda-esque Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Amar Akbar Anthony..Whattafilm!! Quintessential 70s Bollywood. Only Manmohan Desai could have made it.It had everything..Romance,Action,Drama,Religion Some of the scenes are really endearing: -One where Amar digs out the Toy Gun and Pran watches him - All the songs were great - Fight between Amar and Anthony - Scenes between AB and Parveen (great Chemistry) and Rishi and Neetu as well - Amitabh talking to himself in front of a mirror - Tayyab Ali song -Big B with his bambaiyya accent was awesome but Vinod and Rishi were fantastic as well. -Locales of Bombay,be it Bandra,Bhendi Bazaar,Juhu were captured well.

It was a TP film. There is this scene where the villain is running with some hidden gold and he trips and falls where Amitabh is standing. Amitabh says " Aise to aadmi life mein doich time bhagta hai, olympic ka race ho ya police ka case ho" Only Amitabh can say such a cheesy dialogue with forecful panache.
