deathmonger Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 abu nechim > (s aravind + vinay ko-maar) (this math equation makes total sense when it comes to potential and room for growth) + nechim is 5-6 yrs younger.
master22 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 lol even mithun sometimes clocked over 140 in ipl...now we all saw how fast he was when it came to test cricket....so this means nothing
CG Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 They are about the same as Vinay in OD cricket. As for FC cricket, well, Vinay has never been given a chance in Test cricket. Praveen has an excellent FC record and therefore he outbowled Ishant and Sreesanth in England. Did that prove nothing to you? Indeed, but the logic used by nsareen is that one game is enough for international selection. All that was done is that the logic was taken to the opposite situation/ Of course, you cannot purely take domestic record. It is not a sufficient condition for international success, but it is a necessary condition. You keep posting crap praveen kumar outbowled sreesanth and ishant but thats why we lost his best is not good enough ,we have won test abroad only because zaheer, sreesanth, ishant have bowled well .regarding records Praveen kumar has been horrible in odis in india and worse of all bowlers being played but he has great fc and decent od record in odi , .If we selected by stat then we could have staticians as selectors and if you are saying vinay kumar deserves chance in tests then there is no point in replying.

Even joginder sharma was a leading wicket taker in domestic tournaments few years back.:giggle:
kabira Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 jogindar sharma doesn't even play for Elite team..LOL and he is not even in A teams.
rkt.india Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 jogindar sharma doesn't even play for Elite team..LOL and he is not even in A teams. Haryana has been in Elite group before. They have been up and down from elite to plate. Even Umesh is from plate group.
gakgupta Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 Abu has a good outing against Gao...took 4 wickets.....:two_thumbs_up:
speed_demon Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Abu has a good outing against Gao...took 4 wickets.....:two_thumbs_up: 4. Bowled.....
BeautifulGame Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Abu Nechim got 5 wickets with 4 of them being bowled acc. to Cricinfo He should be tried in the one day series against West Indies
Number Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Abu Nechim got 5 wickets with 4 of them being bowled acc. to Cricinfo He should be tried in the one day series against West Indies +100000.... He deserves a chance more than anyone else. None of the pacers in Challenger trophy looked any good except mithun. Abu nechim has pretty decent FC record.I am not going by his performance or wickets he took in CL t20 but with that accuracy and pace , he was impressive. IMHO he looked better than Yadav and Aaron to me.
asterix Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Nechim has to be in the scheme of the things..Good bowling prospect.
saneindian Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Well done young man. I am sure the selectors know what he can do having watched him bowl in CLt20, wickets at the first class level (even though its plate league) would surely make them take notice. Hope he converts this 5-er into a 10 wicket haul for the match. With many of the regulars likely to be rested during WI ODIs, could make his debut soon.
BeautifulGame Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I didnt watch much of CLT20 can anyone tell me what ave. speed he bowled for MI.Also did he had a good yorker?
gakgupta Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 I didnt watch much of CLT20 can anyone tell me what ave. speed he bowled for MI.Also did he had a good yorker? He consistently bowled over 140 KMPH with good swing.....he got a decent yorker but little wayward..... Important thing is ...he has a natural pace just like umesh and doesn't seem to put in lot of effort.......for me, he is a better bowler than Umesh.....he can improve upon his line & length with experience.....he posses all the ingredients of a good bowler.......couple of good domestic seasons should keep him in contention for a national cap
King Tendulkar Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Get him in asap. He will improve laods from being in indian set up. Get quota vinay out!
Sid Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Sorry Nechim who,Aravind the beast will get a chance first :phehehe:
Manny_Pacquiao Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 a guy from a plate league team needs to do something truly exceptional to find his way into the indian side. umesh made it because he has natural speed, a decent fc record backed up by some good press from the ipl and big domestic games. ahmed's fc record is worse, and he didn't do a whole lot in the ipl either. maybe this is the season when he turns it around?

A normal cricket fan with no expertise can see lot of potential in him, why can't the selectors see the same.......i am not asking them to get into Indian team right away but atleast put in under the radar by giving chances in india A teams, emerging trophy, challenger trophy and see if he can handle better batsmen....just take him to next level which will motivate him and u never know.......
