Sooda Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 We should drop Umesh and play Rahul and spin them to kingdom come.
saneindian Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 This pitch didn't have much turn. More pain and agony awaits England at Eden, Kotla and Wankhede. Also hope we learn enough from this series and do not give a single patta track to England when they come for a test tour next year.
Cric_is_Life Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Looks like honey moon is over for England, now Bend it like Beckham... :giggle:
Sachinism Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 We should drop Umesh and play Rahul and spin them to kingdom come. Ashwin, R Sharma, Jadeja and some Raina overs on some burners :woot:

rahulrulezz Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 We should drop Umesh and play Rahul and spin them to kingdom come. This!! That's what I say about Indian mentality towards pace bowling. No wonder we have to face the cope of VKumar Aravind etc etc. Rather than naming VKumar u want our quickest to be out. Sad just sad
WeStMiDz Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Anyone else loving Dada's commentary? 'Welcome to the subcontinent Steven Finn' after Dhoni smoked him straight down the ground was one of his many gems today. After listening to bloody Ian Botham all summer, Dada is music to the ears.

Sad just sad Well play 2 pacemen that is the point, there is so much hoopla about Umesh because he is the only Indian pacer who can touch 135+ but he has done little of note in the matches he has played, apart from being nippy.

No. Listening to him is like listening to radio commentary. He needs to realize that he is doing tv commentary and the viewers can see whats happening on the field so there is no need for him to describe every single thing thats happening on the field. He is a very good analyst and he should remain a cricket analyst instead of doing commentary.

I loved it..I loved the way he was ripping the fellow english commentator who tried acting smart initially, ala Nasseer Hussain , only to have his backside ripped by Dada !!!

30markhanreturn Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 no comments from naseer yet ....about his english team mates...after trott dropped dolly of rahane....wat a harakiri english commited....bell nd borthwick(man in form ) werent even in the playing squad...dying to see borthwick bowling at indian batsmen.....especially to tendulkar when he returns for the 4th odi
kabira Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 To be honest, we did not bat well. It was miraculous batting from Raina, Dhoni and Jadeja. at 35 over point, we were not even suppose to make 250. We need contribution from Gambhir. For me he is the key. He should be doing what TEndular does, play 40 overs. Rahane and PaPa needs to score big, as an opener thats what you should be aiming for, 100s and big 100s.

But it was not a 300 pitch. 250 was par score here with the condition of the pitch and it was slow and uneven.

kabira Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 But it was not a 300 pitch. 250 was par score here with the condition of the pitch and it was slow and uneven. definately not. If there a dew, 300 would have been chaaseable. The thing is English batsman do not know how to maneuver spinners on slow tracks.

kabira Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 yes luckily no dew, lot of ppl expected there will be some dew.
rkt.india Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 yes luckily no dew' date=' lot of ppl expected there will be some dew.[/quote'] BUt, IMO, 250 was par score even with due as much as wicket was keeping low. any one who bowled straight could have taken wickets.
