Cricket Tragic Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 But that's in India. He hasn't done anything of note in Australia in tests. You'd think that he would still make the test side unless another spinner does really well in the ODIs and the tests vs WI where we will play 2 spinners. We can pick him in the squad just to piss the Australians off though.
Yoda-esque Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 No-Its appropriate to say that he wont be shooting darts for some time now in what essentially is a cricket match.
1983-2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 'India cannot do without Harbhajan in the Australia series' - Ganguly "He might have been dropped for loss of form. But I am confident that India cannot do without him in the Australia series." http://www.rediff.com/cricket/report/sourav-ganguly-on-harbhajan-singh-shahid-afridi/20111003.htm :--D
rkt.india Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Harbhajan has not done anything of note in Australia yet.
1983-2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 in australia, 4 matches, 9 wickets but overall against australia 16 matches 90 wickets
yoda Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Disagree. We surely can do without a guy who just keeps darting.
achilles Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 This is what you call backing a player. And this is what Dhoni should learn.
punjabi_khota Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 People who think he has done nothing in OZ need to wake the **** up. He single handedly destroyed the career of Symonds, a shock from which the OZ never recovered. I would go as far saying that he is the reason OZ are in shambles right now, more than the retirement of McWarne.

Tbh I don't just look at his stats, spinners don't always take wickets, if they have a good spell of attacking bowling, it helps pacers scalp wickets. We've seen how harbhajan gets under the Aussies skin. I'd play an out of form Harbhajan over Ojha/Mishra/Ashwin in Australia. Its just too big a tour to try some rookie.

The Realist Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Cause his recent performances have been so amazing  It would read better as: "India cannot do without Harbhajan in the Australia series as without him who will play darts with the Aussies in the pub after the game"
TheYuvi02 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 4 matches 9 wickets in Australia at average of 73 and strike rate of 126
TheYuvi02 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 If he is suggesting this even by past records then he is misguided... harbhajan has been **** in australia since there are no dustbowls over there.
