Not much. I would take Akash Chopras words on Brainder Sran from Punjab who started decently last season, he is 19 too and left armer.

Tyagi too is struggling since his shoulder reconstruction. Pankaj is unimpressive to. Dhawal is one who can move the ball both ways and has control at decent pace. Chahar is young and is gaining pace every passing season as he is specifically working on that aspect.

yes dhawal kulkarni impressed me too but again what after swing goes? is he any good at death ? what about reverse swing ? :dontknow:

Chahar is smaller then Agarkar, bowls regularly at 125 k, Dhawal also is a on the smaller side and bowls at 125 to 133 in domestic games, that makes Dinda look like Marshall, tell me how they can survive and thrive without having pace, also when at their size they have to be extra ordinary to make a mark, Marshall was 5 10 1/2",and was express, could move ball both ways, in air and of the wicket, very very strong, these guys are his opposite in ever count, the reason I mentioned VRV, Tyagi, Pankaj was because even at 80 % they are better then these two.

Chahar is still only 20 and is gaining pace every year, same with Dhawal. Chahar has gained 5-10 K of pace already in last 2 years as is Dhawal. We need bowlers who can move the ball too as well as have decent pace and these two can the ones I am looking for. They are still very young and need to be groomed. Movement is the more difficult thing to negotiate for a batsman than just sheer pace. And I tell you Marshall was not express. He was at best fast medium. He was pretty much like Steyn, mainly between 135-145 in tests with swing and seam. Marshall's main strength was seaming the ball both ways at decent pace, not express. Likes of Holding and Bishop can be termed express.

Sandeep Sharma is one guy I am impressed with touches 135 k, moves the ball in the air and of the turf any day, intelligent use of the crease and bowls with a plan and can implement it, one more year , he could be looked at.

^^ bhai look at chahar's avg over last 2 seasons ' date='its increasing all the time, he hardly takes any wickets ,dinda on the other hand has taken wickets .[/quote'] Chahar is only 2 seasons old. This will be his 3rd season. He did not play much last season due to injury, also suffered due poor form and had great first season. Chahar is not yet ready because he is undergoing some refining process, trying to gain pace, and in that process, he is compromising on his strength which was swing in an attempt to bowl quick. This is a hard process and he will have such time because if he bowls the way he bowled in his first season just concentrating on swing he will again start taking wickets but that won't make him a better bowler in all conditions. If he continues to work hard the way he is doing, he will become what he wants to be in the next 2 years. His aim is to bowl 135-140 and still swing the ball, which he is working on rather than swing at 120-25K which he can do any day. He has time in his hand as he is only 20. WRT, Dinda, he is an experienced FC bowler now and is at a saturation point in terms of development. You cannot expect him to improve more than what he is now. These are his peak days. While Chahar is still in his infancy as a fast bowler.

I would love to see Anwar & Suyal as left arm fast-med bowlers.Ravikant,Sandeep, Veer,Chahar & Mohsin Sayyed are the next crop of talented bowlers in the 18-20 years age group.I've lost faith on Tyagi(who I thought was the most talented bowler with nippy pace),VRV & Gony.Abu Nechim has got pace & swing but needs to be more consistent.I personally don't rate Kulkarni & Chahar at all. Both can bat a bit & swings the ball both ways. Then Bhubaneswar is a better option who swings the ball both ways around 130-135ks & can be groomed into a genuine all-rounder.

This statement deserve a:facepalm: to say Marshall was not fast is like saying tendulkar is just another batsman of galli mohalla.

Where did I say Marshall was not fast. I said he was not express. There is a difference between being fast and express. Express were guys like Thomson, Lee, Akhtar, Holding, Bishop, Lillie in his early years.

Just had a brain and when conditions were more for swing and seam he would then focus on hitting good areas and getting movement, instead of running in as hard as he could for pace which was not important in certain conditions. As intelligent a bowler as there was. But when needed wheels he was express as they come.

Exaggeration. Videos are available of him of his pomp and they do not suggest he was as quick as Lillie, Thomson, Lee, Akhtar at their pomp. He is one of the greatest bowler world has seen no doubt. Marshall was more like what Steyn is now. Marshall did not even have the bowling action to be an express bowler.

Rapid, yes, but not express. Marshall was more like what Steyn is now. Marshall did not even have the bowling action to be an express bowler.
