nikred Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 In school I was made fun of my dark skin. Once there was this fat bloke who called me a black. I called him a phukin fat bastard. Then we exchanged some punches, I was no match for the fatty. After the fight, I was also blue. :((

Yoda-esque Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I am not very sure about that Yods. The theory that proposes that homo sapiens original race is negroid basically believes we have been existing for a max of 50k years. However geneology tells us that we must be existing for at least 250,000 years. I don't think it is everything to do with pigmentation...pigmentation is responsible for color not for features. I believe we have evolved from more than one ape. There is evidence in China that the apes there had more mongoloid features. I don't think we all evolved from one mutation in an Eve. There is really no evidence to support it and yet there is a theory based on belief and not evidence. Sure, Homo Erectus and or its earlier predecessor forms left Africa much much before 70,000 years but died out mysteriously.Modern Human (Sapien) left Africa 70,000 years back approx. and that is the gene marker that each one of us traces back to.We have hence evolved from one ape. As for the Chinese evidence,it is not true.Research conducted by the Chinese has proved that all Chinese bear the marker of Chromosomal Adam who came from Africa 70000 years ago.Have a look at the video below from 8:00 onwards. -K3uUplbr-I&feature=related I am very interested in evolution theories and we can PM to discuss more of the same.
Aaku Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Akki is cool..but SRK dont like no brown skin :cantstop: ab bande ko do waqt ki roti tou kamani hainaw :D
punjabi_khota Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I am discriminatory towards ugliness. If you are dark skinned and someone 'rejects' you, maybe it is probably more because you are butt-ugly. :dontknow:. Don't blame it on the color man
Jersey #10 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 You can be dark but good looking too. Other way around, you can be white and butt-ugly. I look for features over color. It is true that larger percentile of white girls are prettier than black girls. (my perception)
Ram Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I think its could be a legacy of our colonial past. Having white rulers, who were then culturally and technologically far ahead of where we were back then probably could have left a lasting imprint in our racial memories. Who knows, had we been subjugated by black invaders, the story may have been different. Whether we like it or not, the common perception is, White = Better. And its upon us to defy this hideous stereotype. Unfortunately, what we are seeing on the other hand is repeated reinforcement of it. I find it hard not to be sick when someone like SRK, who has millions of young fans who worship him faithfully, comes on TV and promotes those skin-fairness creams. The sweet irony, the dude himself, and pretty much the rest of his family too, are not fair-skinnned. I'd like to know if that is the kind of message he'd like to pass on to his young kids.

Currently there is a huge battle going on between the Geneologists and the Anthropologists. The latter believe we have been aroud for just 50-70k years. However Genologists, using scientific basis, say that our genes and DNA go back to at least 250l years. The current dogma is the Out of Africa theory. It is a dogma like Aryan theory or matter-only physics or big bang creation theory. If we assume, for the sake of argument, that we all come from the same mutation that the African Eve carried then what explains the diversity of features in us? Surely caucasians are extremely different from negroids who are even more different from mongoloids. Only asutraloids and negroids seem to have some little resemblance. I think the root races evolved from different mutations. Indians are like a cauldron of humanity where all the root races mixed. The mixing of root races in India happened over a period of a few thousand years about 20-15k years ago. Just like how USA is a cauldron of civilization in modern times, Indian subcontinent was so about 12000 BC - 15000 BC. This is also corroborated with genetic studies about new gene pools entering into Bharatvarsha around 13500 years ago

It was pretty late in the evening, we were batting and getting our ass kicked. One chap in our team shouted out that the match should be called off due to bad light because we couldn't see the fielders - a reference to a couple of dark skinned fielders. A guy in the fielding team heard that and came charging towards us, picked up a bat Inzi style and started chasing the guy who said it around the field.

Refer to the link below. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/15/AR2005121501728.html The earliest Europeans were African. The change in the skin color can be attributed to climate changes where bodies grew stockier to preserve heat, skin pigmentation due to lack of sunlight etc.Besides, the San Bushman from whom we have evolved is neither too dark nor too fair.He has mongoloid/negroid features as well. His face is a composition of all races in the world.Have a look. http://www.enjoyfrance.com/images/stories/world/news/Kun_san.jpg It all happened in just 1000-1200 generations..Amazing!

Very interesting. I also saw the series of which you had provided one of the videos in a previous post. I just feel that all ends are not tied up well in order to proclaim that we all came from one Eve. When you say the earliest Europeans were African, it is basically an inference from the out of Africa theory. While there might have been a migratory event like the 'out of africa' event some 50-70k years ago, I don't think all of mankind belonged to that migration alone. This 70k year out of africa theory does not reconcile with existence of human genes for 250k years. Something ain't completing the theory. I also feel there is a "feel good" aspect that ensures default backing of the out of africa theory since it effectually propagates that all of us are one race which we clearly are not. Consider the fact that upright walking apes existed for at least 4 million years and there were many species of such apes and yet all of a sudden in just 70k years we are supposed to have evolved out of those same apes with such vastly different physiology. The "missing link" has forever been missing and they are yet to find it. Maybe we should consider the possibility that we evolved from different apes

We know that modern humans and Neanderthals co-existed.So definitely there could have been humans that evolved outside Africa before 70K years. However they have no marker or rather none of the modern humans can be traced back to their marker. Again, there shouldn't really be "a" missing link since its all evolution .Apes evolved as Bi-pedals (Australopithecines) and then the various evolutions of humans."Lucy" considered the earliest Bi-pedal but I think they have found an older specimen.I had posted it a month back.
Alchemist Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Indians do have an issue with race in general. I have my self heard few Indians talk about how white people are better than blacks without knowing any of them.
maniac Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Leave color aside...Indians in general have discriminatory attitude towards other Indians For eg If your boss is an Indian his attitude towards you will be completely different compared to a person of another race working at the same level as you. Similarly,I have seen Indians behave differently to an Indian bioss compared to a gora boss as well. I think after years of foreign rule...most of us have automatically tuned ourselves to beleive that we are inferior...I have seen so many Indians and even Pakis for the matter of fact get intimidated in the presence of white people in a work environment.
maniac Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Indians do have an issue with race in general. I have my self heard few Indians talk about how white people are better than blacks without knowing any of them. True Infact one of my acquaintances wife who recently moved from India who thinks she takes to America like a fish in the water try to start an argument as to why naturally White people are smarter due to some brain Chromosomes or some **** like that and obviously black people being the lowest on the chromosome hierarchy with Indians being the highest... I was like are you F*** kidding me or what???I really felt like punching her in the face.
retterimp Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Similarly,I have seen Indians behave differently to an Indian bioss compared to a gora boss as well. Maybe true for indians from india who have only seen white ppl on TV in all their glory, but americans of indian origin aren't like that. so i would say its not because all indians think they are superior, but because they aren't used to working with/under them. same is the case in the middle east where you behave much more subserviently under an arab boss, so it's all about getting used to different culture/different ppl but its an interesting argument, would an indian behave in such a manner if he went to an african country under an african boss? dunno..
