Trichromatic Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 ^ :dito: They could have used tranquilizer darts. Why kill lions and tigers when they are already an endangered species Since morning, I was going to create a thread..what a fracking tragedy..poor animals have to pay the price..one of the dumb-ass reporters asking abt tranquilizing, the cops says "Mam, this is a 300 lb bengal tiger, not a house pet cat ". I mean this beast can take 2 cops down in 1 swipe ..and surprised to see Ohio of all states to have liberal laws for exotic animals This guy never featured in National Geographic's Fatal Attraction ( Big Cats ) episode
achilles Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 ^ :dito: They could have used tranquilizer darts. Why kill lions and tigers when they are already an endangered species And it is particularly shocking that this kind of incident happened in the US, where the laws treat animals with a lot of respect. That is a living thing they run over. Bastards
ganeshran Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Vibhash,Im pretty sure there are tranquilizer darts which can knock out lions. It has been used on elephants too, surely it can work on Lions.

Rajiv Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I heard the cops interview and can't really blame them - they had no time to prepare and animals were getting into highway and communities. 911 is not equipped with tranqs + it was getting dark - there was no time to arrange anything and they had to take action Its very easy for us to say that but considering the situation, they did the right thing
kabira Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Officials continued to search for one macaque monkey still roaming the area on Wednesday Is Flamy still missing?? :)
Rajiv Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 ^^ they safely assumed he was eaten/killed by one of the tiger lions like other monkey
Rajiv Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 But this kinda stuff happens in Pakistan too, PS I am sure someone must own a tiger in India Pt0-KKwkVME
Vijay.Sharma Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 lulz ICF is my only source of news. When you have Aya as your newsreader all other news are just incidental :winky:
Vijay.Sharma Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 ^^ I know..very few left - such beatiful beasts are being shot. For what?, man's pleasure and then killed to avoid attacking a man Wonder if animals believe in god?lol...man made god is in his own image and liking
Ram Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Seems insane to think one man can have such a huge private collection of wild animals.
Yoda-esque Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Seems insane to think one man can have such a huge private collection of wild animals. Hugh Hef ? They aren't wild though (they might get wild sometimes)

Rajiv Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 In India many times tigers have been caught through tranquillizers and then released in the wild ..this was a totally diff situation. Search on Youtube and see why they had to shoot them The Columbus Zoo head said, even if we had tranq'd them, where would they put them - we have no place in the zoo!
Stuge Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Ver very sad ..Now I'm in really sad state :| RIP animals :((
