ravishingravi Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Too many meetings in that part of Mumbai these days and invariably I walk out of meetings hungry at around lunchtime. So those who are better acquainted with the area' date=' tell me what all different kinds of nice restaurants I can try.[/quote'] I think there is Jaferbhai's delhi darbar close to station. Great for biryani.
ravishingravi Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Holy/Ravi' date=' the joint we went to was not in Marine Lines was it? We met somewhere along Marine Drive and went to another restaurant in Colaba somewhere.[/quote'] nope. it wasn't
Mariyam Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 How is the Sushi scene in Bom? Global Fusion in Bandra is the place to be, if you are a Sushi fan. Its a buffet and slightly on the higher side, but the food is well worth it. The lighting gives the places a very post modern look and is a definite + point. Tetsuma at Colaba is another Japanese themed restaurant. Was there for lunch on Sunday. Its very over priced and not as good as global fusion. They gave us complementary sake though. Wasabi at the Taj. haven't been there since they re-opened the place after the attacks. They have increased the price even more. But theirs is authentic Japanese food by a Japanese cook.

You obviously don't mean the Delhi Darbar on Colaba Causeway, do you? Besides, DomainK wants restaurants en route to Andheri. :D :P That would be off his route.

Global Fusion is a superb place. I dont eat sushi, but it's said to have some of the best sushi in Mumbai. The food otherwise is very good - especially the non-veg starters. They have a wide variety of starters and every single one is awesome. Besides, the ambiance is superb.

Their starters are awesome. They have a sushi mianoto ( sp?) plate, which is a special course of sushi starters. That itself is quite heavy and leaves no room for anything else. Even I used to dislike Sushi earlier. But the taste eventually grows on you.

Mariyam Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Oh' date=' like that. Then def do check out India and beyond (just when you take the left to hit worli seaface)[/quote'] I went to this place for lunch. Definitely better than its predecessor Mela. Had their specialty - Dori Kebab. Loved it. Had lasgna for main course. Loved that too. Only that the place was too noisy today. Lots of families and all. Good service too. Def. not a date/ silent tete a tete place. More of a 'take your kids to' place.
