saneindian Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Kumble was also there even though he was injured. Yeah as a consultant working with young spinners! We had a crack team of Geoff Marsh (BCCI consultant for batting), TA Sekar (for bowling) and Venkatraghavan (for spinners) during that camp. Lot of planning went into iit coursey John Wright. :hatsoff:
Chandan Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Took his first wicket of the season sometime back vs Orissa. Since then Orissa have lost two more wickets since then but don't know if Bhajji has added more to his wickets tally or not. Harbhajan's bowling figure till tea on Day one has been: Harbhajan Singh(ob) 13.0 4 35 1 2.69 (0nb, 0w)
The Outsider Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 Darty finishes with 1/44 in 18 overs. 1/136 in the season so far.
Trichromatic Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 It seems that domestic batsmen are not taking chances against him.
Trichromatic Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 ^:giggle: Well I didn't mean it be a funny comment. I watched his bowling in previous match. Batsmen were extra careful against him and trying to make sure that they don't give him wickets. It would be even more difficult for him if batsmen adopt this approach and since they are decent player of spin, Bhajji would have to work harder to take wickets.

Thats the whole point of making him go back to domestic cricket.

carnish Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 bhajji is crap...all he needs to do is to spin the ball again and practically his off-spinner des deys doesnot turn... even murali lost his ability to square turn the ball late in his career just wanting to be accurate and economical.... but u gotta turn the ball to take wickets... bhajji needs to do dat coz onli one spinner in the entire cricket history can take wickets without turning the ball and he has retired.... THE GREAT ANIL KUMBLE
gakgupta Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Hes not the best spinner on punjab team. The benched legapinner s ladda is. Hopefully he can get a few matches. LOL....Bhajji is not even the best spinner of punjab.....:giggle: On a serious note, ladda is a good prospect
Talwar Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Will be very nice to the know the speeds of sandeep sharma.
Chandan Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Darty finishes with 1/44 in 18 overs. 1/136 in the season so far. Yes. He finished the match with 1/50 when he went wicketless in the 2nd innings as Orissa folded for 73 runs and Gony and Sran took 5 and 4 wickets respectively. So it is 1/142 in the season so far in 2 matches.
Dravid_TheWall Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I remember an old interview with Bhajji. He said he was going to give it more air when he bowls. Did he mean he was going to fart on his way to the crease for extra momentum before darting? I didn't see any evidence of the the ball being flighted! Bhajji will have his work cut out in domestic, god I would hate to be reduced to that.

Isnt it Bajji's job to get wickets even if Batsmen are extra careful....he will never going to play inetrnationally again if he cant take Care ful wickets :winky:
ganeshran Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Poor bowling by Bhajji in Ranji till now. I was hoping he would get atleast 5-6 per match
vvvslaxman Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Isnt it Bajji's job to get wickets even if Batsmen are extra careful....he will never going to play inetrnationally again if he cant take Care ful wickets :winky: +1 :cantstop: . Every useless bowler can get away with that excuse.
gakgupta Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Good that he is not an automatic choice now.....he has to prove it in domestic before he will be picked for national duty......for that he has to find his charm back......let him take all the time in the world...we already have decent spin bowling attack......and i always wonder why murali is not picked....I think he can serve better than Ojha at this point of time and he is the best left arm spinner (may be best spinner) in india now
