I know IPL thread has been locked' date=' but that doesn't mean that you'll contaminate other sections :nono:[/quote'] Contaminating the thread wasn't my intention at all. I was being serious there. I was in the stadium for that game. It means something to me. And I remember people saying that it was his only (non Test) 100 at Wankhede. The world's best players' 100 in his home town has a lot of symbolic significance. And scoring 100 in a T20 is much more difficult than scoring 100 in an ODI.

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: chotadhoni listed top ODI innings. :winky:
:(( OP didn't mention that its only for ODIs. Carnish has listed some Test 100s. :winky:

I had added that smiley at the end of my post just to take seriousness out of my post. But apparently that hasn't worked. Coming to point, I don't think if T20 is even proper cricket. So no point in including that innings in the list, even if you watched it in stadium. But afterall it's your list and you could very well have included Sachin's 326* , which he scored against St Xavier's school in 87, in this list :cantstop:

I like this name: Chotadhoni.. Baradhoni, Mediumdhoni, Natadhoni, Kanadhoni, Motadhoni, Sidhoni, Muhdhoni, MuhNaDhoni, Kapdadhoni, Bartandhoni and so on..
:hysterical: We went for an IPL match, MI v/s DC at DY Patil. When Saurav Tiwary was fielding at the boundary, our section of the crowd started hooting: "Aye Sasta Dhoni!!!". H

predictable list. here is an alternative one: 5. 82 vs new zealand 1994. first ever match as an opener, bowler friendly wicket where india shot NZ out for a low score. this is where his career took off. 82 runs came off just 49 balls, with 15 (!!!) fours and 2 sixes. Astonishing innings even by today's T20 standards. led india to a very easy and quick win. 4. 110 vs australia 1994. first ever ODI century. started off aggressively against strong opening bowlers mcdermott, mcgrath and then hit warne around. was basically a must win game, and his century was ultimately the difference in what was a low scoring encounter. 3. 89 not out vs pakistan 1996. smacked the ball tampering duo of wasim and waqar all over the park on a seamer friendly wicket at toronto. those who watched it will remember tendulka hitting big full length inswinging deliveries from waqar younis straight down the ground for boundaries, it was fun to watch because not many batsmen could treat him like that at the time. india won very easily 2. 62 vs australia, 2001. tendulkar was in red hot form throughout the series, always playing great shots. this was just brutal. short innings in pursuit of a big 300+ target, but the way he went after the excellent aussie bowlers was memorable. scored almost entirely in boundaries. mcgrath will never have uglier bowling figures in his life. 1. 95 vs pakistan, 2006. amazing innings not just for the quality of the batting but the circumstances surrounding it. he was in bad form, still had that elbow injury bothering him. bad test series. lots of criticism ('endulkar'). series level at 1-1, and india had lost gambhir and pathan early with the run rate climbing fast. ball was seaming around a lot under the lights, with asif and gul bowling beautifully. tendulkar played out a really difficult spell, left deliveries that most batsmen would have nicked, and put the bad balls away. a really hard chase became a pretty straightforward one, which india did easily thanks to dhoni and yuvraj. pakis never recovered from this loss and india won series 1-4, hahahaha

No mariyam, not if its IPL crap. Even Manish cowlasher Pandey has 100, and Valthaty scored runs too. I acknowledge that since you witnessed the game in-person, its a special one for you. Absolutely. But a ODI 100 (against an international team) is more difficult than a IPL crapola swipe-the-air fest.

Manish Pandey is one for the future. Sooner or Later. If he doesn't get carried away' date=' he has a BIG future.[/quote'] Not sure of big, but he should aim to make it large.

I recall this innings well. Sachin had to survive initial fiery spells from Waqar and Wasim. He was very circumspect to begin with. But later on stamped his authority and carted all bowlers over the park. India eventually won that match in canter. http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/62/62805.html

NDTV rates these innings as top 5 5. 175vsAUS(CHASING 350) 4. 98vsPAK(WC2003) 3.200*(147)vsSA(WORLD RECOrd) 2. 117 Vs aus(2008cb series final) 1. 143vsAUS(1998 sharjah storm match) some of you dnt agree with these rating some left out inng 186vsNZ 90vsAUS 137vsSRL
the 175 vs Aus , was that a test match ? I dont recall . there was also a big 100 in Pak in an ODI chasing a big total. But we lost.
