Letdown in terms of the ending..but a superb watch...is there any point in watching a sad tale in S05? I like that dark humor and hope the story was bringing in, the finale ending was a downer.. I enjoyed the series so far. Unlike Ramukaka, I found S1 and S3, the best. Although John Lithgow is a favorite, the writing was predictable in S04, and when Debra reveals she knew Dexter had a brother..they hurried that part of the story which is very significant . Hoping S05 picks up from where it started. I hate to see kids crying for their mom etc....

The movie is pretty good so you can watch it but you can watch the series without watching the movie. Both the movie and the series are set in the same city and in the same environment, but the characters and the plot line are not related. The series pays tribute to the movie's plot in one of its episodes. The style of story telling seems similar to me. You might find the part where they make a reference to the movie a little out of place if you haven't watched the movie, but that bit is a very small part in one single episode.
coffee_rules Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Yes keep watching Thanks. Till S07 now.. Still rate breaking bad higher because of Cranston. But best next to it. Great concept, writing and acting by JCarpenter (esp) / Mhall. A lot of shocks in S05/S06. I can predict how it will end.
