When you watch a match for three days, you realize that a Test match is nothing without its crowd. Their opinions colour your opinion in strange ways, not in terms of correctness but in terms of being the predominant thought of the moment. Very much the way a commentator's opinion on TV or radio can colour your opinion. In a cricket ground, the crowd is actually the commentator and the Indian cricket board has to ensure in some way that we don't lose the crowd in our stadiums again. :two_thumbs_up::icflove:

rajmarie Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Ahh...Eden....miss those days when I used to enjoy the game...sitting on news papers on hard cement benches at Eden. Good writeup Saurav. Sad to see so many empty seats. Traditionally...Eden always get more people coming around noon to watch the game...then at the start. Hoping CAB put more shades for spectators to protect against the sun.

True to tradition, the numbers did increase around noon on all the three days. There wasn't much sun, and whatever sunlight there was, was quite pleasant. But still not enough shades for a hot summer. @ ganesh - Holy Smokes!! Am I gonna be in trouble? :nervous:

If the ball runs away, he chases the ball on all fours with remarkable agility. Apparently, Sachin sponsors all his travel, food and match-watching arrangements all throughout India. Following on 478 runs behind, the visitors managed to score 195 for three in 62 overs till stumps on Day 3. Not only did their batsmen put up a much-improved show the second time around, they managed to keep the Indian spinners at bay as well. All three wickets in the West Indies second innings have been claimed by the pacers, despite 38 of the 62 overs being delivered by the spinners. But Pragyan Ojha is hardly worried. "In the second innings, we bowled just as we did in the first. We had the discipline and got the balls in the right areas. It's just that the wicket got a bit better in the afternoon and so we didn't get the wickets as quickly as in the first innings," explained Ojha, who scalped four in the first innings while spin-twin Ravichandran Ashwin bagged two. "They also batted well in the second innings, you have to give them credit for that." Ojha, who got his 50th wicket on Wednesday playing his 13th Test match, had no doubts that Team India would be able to finish off the job over the next two days. "We are in the driver's seat, the way all our guys are bowling is superb, things are going really well for us. God willing, we'll be able to win it on the fourth day and then get ready for Mumbai (final Test)," said Ojha, who became the quickest among Indian left-arm spinners to bag 50 Test wickets. These man is perfect example for any youngster on how to approach fitness. He can easily play 2 more years...thats how fit he is.
