Is Zak fit or its just desperation from our selectors?

i never said unadkat will do well in australia... i just said he picks wickets in Ranji while RP can't... if you think a guy who can't price out poor indian domestic batters esp. tail enders can take wickets in australia then i cant help it.. And please dont tell me that australia has seaming tracks coz most tracks in australia are flat last few years...

I am all for someone getting in ahead of the re-treads but I honestly can't see the likes of Unadkat and Vinay Kumar troubling Aussies. Both these bowlers were found wanting against better batsmen at intl level. At least RP was able to perform at intl level. Vinay Kumar and Unadkat may have performed at domestic level but they are akin to the likes of Hick or Ramprakash who are great at domestic level but are found wanting at the top level.

But what is the need for replacing zak.... the team is already selected and zak is just an additional player... if he isnt fit then those 5 seamers already in the team will do the job... you don't replace a player taken as the 18th man if he isnt fit

Not really, he is fit. I met him some time ago(read weeks) and he said he was on track to be fit by end nov. He's gonna play 2 ranji games for mumbai before heading out to australia. I wouldnt be too worried. He's still got a month to get a lot of overs under his belt. And he's in the squad for the next Mumbai game.

He was absolutely unplayable on 2nd day of the test and none of the Aussies had any clue on how to play him. And that batting lineup had players like Hayden, Langer, Ponting (in top form), Waugh, Martyn and Gilchrist.

well but he does not really has experince in those conditions i think this is ognna be turning point of ishant sharma its about time his hard work pays of :) just need to plan his dismissals and work on seam position easier then earlier adjustemwents he made with action, run up etc

Zaheer was the biggest reason for our victory in the World Cup. Too bad he hasn't got a chance to play a complete tour in Australia yet - hopefully this will be the time because I am sure if he plays all 4 tests we will win the series. Disappointing that the first half of his career went wasted as an average bowler and by the time he got all the skills his fitness starting going down.
