Irfan has been doing pretty well in the Domestic season. I don't know whether picking him would be a correct option but he's the only one who's fit and performing. Or, we might see some surprise name coming up/

Bhai..Irfan always does well in domestic but whenever he came back with good FC he did not deliver at international arena. We saw how he was bowling in Challenger trophy. He still has not changed his bowling technique and without that, I doubt he can hit consistent areas at around 130K pace. I am not talking about pace here. If he bowls 130, he will have to hit right areas, but he bowls now mainly in 120-125K range and even then errs in line and length. MS Gony also has bowled well this season.

Don't think they will go for a rookie bowler. Someone with international experience will have a chance. Had RPS got the desire to play for India, post the Eng tour, he would have worked hard on his fitness and shed some flab. Hasn't happened and he still is as fat as he was in England. But he has bowled a number of overs and has picked wickets as well.

i am not a doctor but how can you fracture a rib by bowling? was he in a collision or something? ps-i am leaning towards gony too,cant see irfan being a factor again.

Dont worry....wait couple of days...& BCCI will announce that PK have some other kind of injury. elbow, chest, rib......high probability of next announcement being a groin injury :haha:

I think they will definitely go for an experienced bowler. We are already going with Varun, Umesh, Ojha and Ashwin - thats 4 new bowlers so experienced bowlers like RP Singh or Irfan may be in the reckoning.

I don't see both Irfan and RP. Vinay and Mithun are the possibilities.

I would take Nehra over Irfan. Don't think Nehra has done anything wrong to be totally put aside
