people talk about mcgrath being 130, but dont understand he did not debut as 130k bowler he was fast medium and even then he was successful. he slowed down in 2000s, but by them time he already had played half of his career years and had become master of his skills to survive and dominate batsmen. when a bowler is inexperienced, he needs that extra pace to make an impact because he is not that regarding other aspects of fast bowling which comes with experience. there can be exceptions, but still those exceptions are rare.

Sreesanth should play the Ranji match this week to prove his fitness before being selected.Otherwise someone like Mithun or Dinda or Nechin (unlikely) should be selected.Sreesanth is the best available choice but that doesnt we should compromise on fitness. Either way he is 5th choice only.Hopefully there is no need for him in the series apart from carrying drinks.

There is no need for him to waste time in Ranji, man of his talent should be straight in. 1st test, ZK, Sree and Yadav B->

Sreesanth should definitely not play a Ranji match. Either he will get injured in that, or he'll be tonked all around the park prompting the selectors to drop him again, and we'll miss a dancing waterboy. No matter who the waterboy is, he needs to be a show pony.

Sreesanth is neither mentally or physically fit, it will be a waste of time, his average , performance and stamina is poor, I would have a good Domestic performer rather, Gony comes to mind, has pace, bounce, seems to have matured as a bowler , also has stamina and will be handy.
