BeautifulGame Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Saha is a middle order batsman and be better choice if it comes to replacing Dhoni.So probably thats working him for him ahead of the likes of Parthiv and Kaul in test team who are openers. Kaul seeing his FC should atleast deserves to be in the A tour squads.But i dont think Saha has done anything to be dropped. Any player selected for the national team shouldnt be dropped from the national team without giving him a decent run. Asking for Karthick to be in the team is laughable.He should first score some decent runs in Ranji before being even considered for NT.Its nearly two seasons since he has a good knock for us in Ranji trophy.

He scored 7 centuries and 15 half - Centuries with a very good average of 48. Whenever ppl talk about back-up wicket keepers' date=' names that usually prop up are Saha, karthik, Parthiv and even gautam but not Uday Kaul. For me, just looking at the stats, he seem to be an ideal candidate for back-up keeper. He is young with enough domestic experience (48 matches). Did anyone saw him in action? And Uday is at present 24 :hmmmm2: Although he is a very good batsman, I believe he needs to improve his keeping. I have seen him playing lot of times in PCA and IPL as well. He is a technically correct batsman but lacks big hitting
