saneindian Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Wonder why everyone is complaining. He's had 3 back to back 5-fers and talks to the press after those performances. And then different journos write all sorts of reports based on that one interview. Its not that he runs from one journo to another giving them personal interviews. All he is saying is he is feeling good about his bowling. The headline obviously gives it a sensationalist angle.
CoverDrive Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 if you look at the comments section of any Cricinfo Article or any of the User shows where people dial you will understand the obsession Indian people have with Irfan Pathan. He is the golden boy because he is the rare Indian Medium pace- allrounder and people are still hung up on his match winning exploits from years back News media is quick to pick up his case and it helps that he is also advertisers and marketers favorite with his personality. any half decent performance will get him noticed for which others have to work doubly hard. With Irfan Pathan Indian public lives in constant hope. Though I would still prefer him over VK and Mithun but we need more options
Viki_J Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 he is like this ATM again :two_thumbs_up: good1..i agreee :yay:
achilles Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 It seems Irfan has lot of media friends' date= he is making all the right noise in the media from last couple of days...Lets see how he does this time, if he makes a comeback :nervous: Seems like his Sports Management company is doing a great job :woot: But yes, I'd like to see him as the first choice replacement for the Oz series, over RP, Mithun, Tyagi and the gang.
Sooda Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Do you guys think he rings up Cricinfo or a random paper and say 'hey I really want to chat about my bowling'? Dont be insane. He gets asked, so he replies. Clearly the guy doing this writeup has got in touch, he has spoken to Uthappa too about Mithun and Vinay K.
BERGKAMP Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 thanks but no thanks. crapthan will get destroyed by the aussies.
King Tendulkar Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 thanks but no thanks. crapthan will get destroyed by the aussies. ^In a nutshell
Laaloo Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Does he ever stop blabbering to media :desiman:
Lord Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 thanks but no thanks. crapthan will get destroyed by the aussies. give me one good reasoon why u say so
achilles Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 ^ I would rather like to know whom he supports as a replacement for PK coz I don't think Irfan will perform as bad as Mithun, RP or Dinda.
BERGKAMP Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 give me one good reasoon why u say so because he is weak mentally. once a batsman starts smoking him he loses the plot and bowls pies for the rest of the match. ^ I would rather like to know whom he supports as a replacement for PK coz I don't think Irfan will perform as bad as Mithun' date=' RP or Dinda.[/quote']
Trundler27 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 yea according to some ppl the domestic performance should only be a guage to get useless pie chuckers from karnataka into the national team... anyone else performing in ranji is just a domestic bully who will fail at the international level. All you ppl crying for another new quick bowler will be the first ones to criticize the selectors for picking a completely rookie inexperienced attack as soon as things go wrong. Taking 2 rookie fast bowlers is good enough. At this time, there is no better like-for-like replacement for PK. The funny thing is that this 5th seamer will NOT play a single test match unless there are at least 2 injuries to the pacers ahead of him. So this is not a life/death decision. When you ask ex-international players to go back to the domestic circuit and perform in order to get their place back, you will not find a better example then a bowler taking 21 wkts in 4 games!!
Lord Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 because he is weak mentally. once a batsman starts smoking him he loses the plot and bowls pies for the rest of the match. really?then why do u think he got MoM ina T20 final?n why do u think batsman will try to smoke him in a test match?
BERGKAMP Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 the sun even shines on a dogs ass on some days. he had a promising start to his career then faded away. since he has been tried, and has failed many times. it will be the same this time.
rkt.india Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 really?then why do u think he got MoM ina T20 final?n why do u think batsman will try to smoke him in a test match? yaar do you remember how many times he has made come backs. he comes back and then goes back because in the last 5 years we only remember Perth wickets, nothing else comes to mind.
Trundler27 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 yaar do you remember how many times he has made come backs. he comes back and then goes back because in the last 5 years we only remember Perth wickets' date=' nothing else comes to mind.[/quote'] So based on current form who else do you suggest take PK's spot? and plz be realistic coz there is no way our selectors are going to pick a guy off the streets based on potential to send down under.

deathmonger Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 pathan videos any videos of pathan 5ers? how he bowling now? pace, swing? anyone seen?
