Our "seniors" are the only thing keeping us floating in international cricket. According to the young blood brigade all would/should have retired 4 years back.

we have been planning "so well" for the retirement of our seniors that even now not even a single player is completely ready to replace any of the 3 premier batsmen in the team!!

Why are Bollinger and Hilfenhaus and ignored? They are good bowlers and have some international experience too. And how did so many players get injured after playing such a short series, that too after such a long lay off?

I don't think Hilfy will get picked after what happened in the Ashes and I don't think they trust Bollinger wrt fitness. He is a good bowler though.

Its certainly the weakest Aussie side in a while, but then this NZ side nearly lost a Test to Zimbabwe.

The new look selection committee also consists of Andy Bichel, Rod Marsh, the Australian skipper Michael Clarke and new coach Mickey Arthur. John Inverarity has said that he was pleased with the new additions to the squad. I saw Josh Hazelwood in the U19 World Cup and he looked like he could become a superb player. I saw Starc in an ODI and was very impressed by him. We all know how good Cummins is. It looks like Australia have some seriously talented young bowlers. Even Peter George looked ok in India last year.

I am actually very excited to see this new look Australian bowling attack. Cummins is the fastest of them allot. Starc is slower than Cummins and Ben Cutting is the slowest of the three. But, Cutting and Starc are very tall. So, it will be a great combinaton of pace and bounce. Seeing new fast bowlers is always exciting. India also have similar caliber of new fast bowlers. Manpreet Gony is one of them who can match anyone of these

There are quite a few who look quite impressive Cummins Starc Hazelwood Pattinson Cutting As well as some other decent bowlers like George, Copeland and Butterworth. Another bowler who has been getting high praises is Jackson Bird. He's only played 2 matches this year but took 10 last match.

AB Field is very small, like a NZ ground! No way will those guys befitting 33 sixes at the Gabba. Should be a pretty interesting test series in prospect, NZ should be expecting to win.
