???? we are still favourites with cummins/harris. without we'll win. ppl are taking this australian side too seriously. oz have won a test in sa. so have we. oz beat muraliless sl. so have we. we got thrashed by eng. so have oz.

I think if it was in India you would all be confident but because its in Aus, its a different story. For me, it is 50/50 but without Cummins and Harris, more 60/40 in India's favour.

Injury-ravaged quick Ryan Harris has quashed rumours he will not bowl again this summer and has outlined his plan to spearhead Australia's pace attack until 2014. In a major boost for Australia's bowling stocks, Harris declared himself "on track" for the Boxing Day Test against India at the MCG after returning to bowling on Tuesday with a private session at Allan Border Field in Brisbane. The strike weapon bowled 30 balls, followed by a weights session, and was so pleased with the way his hip and back responded he is eyeing Brisbane Heat's two Big Bash League games on December 16 and 20 to tune-up before the India series. In the space of three weeks, Harris has gone from fast-bowling top dog to Australia's forgotten man, with injuries sidelining him for the past two Tests and opening the door for James Pattinson, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc. But the 32-year-old, already ruled out of the second Test against New Zealand starting Friday in Hobart, scuppered suggestions he would not be seen again this summer. "My summer definitely isn't over," said Harris. "It went to plan, I'm on track for Boxing Day."

I have a feeling Pattinson is better if not as good as Cummins who is very raw and does not have a lot of FC experience. They also have Josh hazlewood lined up. good times coming for fast bowling in aus plus Crap johnson is injured luckily for them. We can also do it in India lets produce good tracks - anyway there not many great spinners coming from Ranji setup - state teams should focus on building pace bowling strengths

Thats why i loved our tour to SA last year - imagine if Steyn had been injured

Hazelwood is not that good right now, came back from injury, looked ordinary this season.

I just want a series win. A series win in Australia is a check box which must be ticked. Don't give a damn if it comes against a B team or C. See, does anybody listen when we say that we lost to England this summer because half of our team was in sick bay?

Although Cummins, Pattinson are good for rokkies, they are no Steyn , Mcgrath's, Indian team has to be aggressive, both bowlers and batsmen to rattle the Kangaroos, we have the team to beat them , we were cheated of a series victory last time around and a few Aussie players careers were ruined after the series, it was a dirty game played by them , hopefully this time around we win.

Like i said Cummins is another Tait, with his bowling action this guy is going to be spending more time in ER then on a cricket field. Expect in 3-4 years this guy to announce his retirement from Tests and concentrate in the IPL. To be honest he has probably done enough to attract a massive bid from one of the IPL sides.

and he was the most injury prone bowler 5 years ago after bond LOL most of these guys play too much and like some experts said arent bowling fit harris this is so gr8 but cant play more than 3 days of test cricket:(( i wonder how steyn stays so fit >.

That's a shame, I really want to see both sides at full strength because it would be a really cracking series. Cummins is actually more than a doubt though, he is definately out of the boxing day test and may miss the whole series. He is supposed to be back mid to late January. Apparently Harris is hopeful for the Boxing Day test though, so that's good news. He is a really good bowler.

That is a really shame if he has any long term injuries. This guy who is only 18 and looked the best bowler on his team by a mile. FYI I thought Clarke over used him in SA in search of getting wickets in second test.

Well, yeah he did bowl him more overs then he should have.. However, unfortunately I don't think he had much choice because Johnson was bowling like crap and Watson was injured I'm pretty sure. Cummins maybe paid the price for bowling so well.

He probably would of been. I mean to be fair, he should of been dropped a while ago he has been performing poorly for ages. Hopefully this break does him good and he comes back a better bowler.
