Trundler27 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Poor tenvic mithun has an international odi average of 171.... just in case you are wondering, it is not with the bat..... its with the ball.... poor fella, feel sorry for him. However, I don't feel sorry for the selectors even though hopefully his selection is not going to matter in australia
Stuge Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I say get Dinda to Australia and make him play on boxing day....dats how we are going to slaughter the Aussies :hitler: dinda .. danda karwadega in Australia too .
Stuge Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Actually Mithun is saving his best for the Australian tour. The Aussies are already S***ing in their pants.:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay: oh yeah ..Seems like you missed this post

Stuge Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 on a serious :Mithun is too nascent to be asked to play in International Arena .
Needforspeed Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Well this wicket hardly offered any swing and even the likes of Roach were thrashed. So dont know how one can judge he cant swing the based on ODIs. I am pretty sure he bowled few outswingers during the test match in Barbados. I too dont think he isnt good enough to play for India or should have been selected for Aus tour but to judge his selection for test tour based on ODI performances is just nonsense. He definitely looked better in Barbados than he did here. But the pitch was assisting pacers and Ishant and Praveen Kumar looked better than him. And he looked even better in his debut series against Sri Lanka. Thats the whole point..instead of improving, as any young bowler should, he has deteriorated in quality.
rkt.india Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Dont know what happened to this guy. In his debut season, he used to bowl easily over 135K and now struggles to touch 135K. He used to bowl deadly yorkers. Yorkers have gone too. It is very hared to fathom the kind of decline he has because of deterioration of his bowling action.
rkt.india Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 rkt:fear: I don't like Mithun much.:winky: I always favor those who have good basics. Mithun is lacking in that department. Right now, Vinay looks better than him.
MCcricket Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Muddled thinking by the selectors, Aravind where is he now, Mithun is seriously lacking rhythm , action looks bad, RP, MORE, VENGSARKAR WERE THE BETTER GROUP.
deathmonger Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Muddled thinking by the selectors' date=' Aravind where is he now, Mithun is seriously lacking rhythm , action looks bad, RP, MORE, VENGSARKAR WERE THE BETTER GROUP.[/quote'] except mithun other selections ahve been good. no darty no yuvi no raina. pacers in team. anyways mithun won't get a game.
express bowling Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Dinda can swing the ball at good pace. He would have been a reasonable choice. Abu Nechim is probably being ignored because of his ICL connection and we can't do anything about it.
MCcricket Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 When a batsmen is selected , if he is out of form or has developed a kink in his technique, same a bowler when he is picked up when back from injury too soon , out of rhythm action needs to be worked on , selectors by not being aware of not having the knowledge about the players at first hand are ruining careers, RP selected in England when not ready will hurt him more then benefit him, Aravind selected when bowling lollypops, Mithun selected when he lost pace from being able to bowl 144 to 130 trundler with ugly action, Pathan being picked up based on his wickets but if he is bowling at 125, the selectors are harming their careers then benefitting these players. There should be a communication channel when a player is dropped, what he needs to do to make a comeback , bowl at this pace, swing or seam, work on his stamina, cricket management is in the dark ages with BCCI AND THE SELECTORS.

Sachin=GOD Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 @OP now can you believe that Vinay Kooomar is selected
pensionplan Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 As long as there is no Irfan Pathan it does not matter who gets picked as long as they have done reasonably well and toiled hard* on the domestic cricket over the last 2-3 seasons. * - Toiling hard does not mean giving more interviews and play the victim than taking wickets as was the case with Irfan Pathan.
Laaloo Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Hopefully Mithun DA plays the next match and hope he gets thrashed and the selectors take note
