I have Samsung Galaxy S4 ( the Exynos one ) and have added 32 GB mSD card. I bought it about an year back on a promotional deal and had got it for about 35K. My usage is generally work e-mail,Lync and bit of browsing, Flipboard, Cricinfo,etc for which it is more than handy and running great.I also like very good photos and it is doing fine there too. However recently, my 4 and a half year son is hijacking my phone and is playing Asphalt 8, GT Racing2,etc. These are heavy games. I have not noticed any lag but in absence of any comparison, I am not sure if it is running the games as well as latest flagships. 2. Now the question - I can afford latest flagships like Z2,G3,S5 or M8 or even iPhone 5S but am wondering if it worth upgrading just an year old phone. Is it better to spend the money on some decent Tablet ( I experimented couple of years back on a cheap Lava tablet - Z7H but it was very low end) on which my son can play games? If yes, any good suggestions? Since your phone is only 1 year old, is running well and you are happy with it till now, I don't think you should change it. The new devices that have come out - S5, M8, Z2, 5S etc are no doubt great phones but honestly speaking none of them is a big upgrade from the S4. With a tablet you will get one more device in your home - your son can play games on it and if you want to work/watch movies etc on a larger screen you can also do that. And your son won't hijack your phone. As for suggestions - Sabby, Detonator,Velu, Strike etc know more about tablets. They can suggest the one best suited to your needs.
velu Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I myself got confused abt whether to buy iPad (17K) or galaxy tab ( got discount and can check my android apps ) or amazon kindle .. :D My first preference is kindle but the original version was discontinued which matches my requirement.. i think galaxy tab will be of multiple use to me , tab as well as test device.

Thanks for the suggestion...I really have no complaints about S4....I was told by a few about how it hogs memory,etc and I was scared....Kept checking RAM usage...max I saw was 1.4 out of 2...however lowest was 0.98 when all Apps ( that I know of ) were closed :((....was a bit worried what this brick was doing ...then some reading,etc and was sort of convinced that android keeps stuff in memory ( to make use of available RAM ) to enable speedy relaunch,etc...hope its true and it is not broadcasting anything :nervous: As soon as I bought S4, I went for the paid Nova launcher and extremely happy with it. On Tab, home minister ( my wife ) says not to spend more than 20-25K....I offered her option of latest Lava tablet and I got THE LOOK ( man these women are possessive about SON - my Kid's T-Shirt says ' New man in mom's life')....So no Lava,Giva for me...some benefits of going for Samsung Tabs but I don't want to be too dependent on one vendor....My wife has Nexus 4 phone so Nexus tablet is one thing I am looking at ( very economical and heard it is a beast in performance too )

Go for nexus 7 Do not buy non retina ipad...if ur getting retina for that price go for it it's best tablet :two_thumbs_up:

As for tablet - you want to spend 20-25k and in that price Nexus 7 is a great option IMO. Its available on flipkart for 24k in 3g+WiFi and 20k for WiFi - both in 32gb.

Browsing based on brands and not based on os. And chitka is the #1 in providing data analytics for mobile domain .
