If you want to buy a tablet now then go for Nexus 7 but if you can wait till around Oct then Google is most certainly coming out with a new tablet and if, as rumored, its being made by HTC then it really will be a beast.

Detonator Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Thanks for the suggestion...I really have no complaints about S4....I was told by a few about how it hogs memory,etc and I was scared....Kept checking RAM usage...max I saw was 1.4 out of 2...however lowest was 0.98 when all Apps ( that I know of ) were closed :((....was a bit worried what this brick was doing ...then some reading,etc and was sort of convinced that android keeps stuff in memory ( to make use of available RAM ) to enable speedy relaunch,etc...hope its true and it is not broadcasting anything :nervous: As soon as I bought S4, I went for the paid Nova launcher and extremely happy with it. On Tab, home minister ( my wife ) says not to spend more than 20-25K....I offered her option of latest Lava tablet and I got THE LOOK ( man these women are possessive about SON - my Kid's T-Shirt says ' New man in mom's life')....So no Lava,Giva for me...some benefits of going for Samsung Tabs but I don't want to be too dependent on one vendor....My wife has Nexus 4 phone so Nexus tablet is one thing I am looking at ( very economical and heard it is a beast in performance too ) Only ipad and nexus are only ones worthy. All others hardly get any updates (some still comes with ginger bread and honey comb :facepalm:) Wait till next quarter dood. Ipad air 2 and nexus.. 11? might be released, so the older version cost wil be reduced. Nexus 10 will reduce to 20k and air will drop around 27k. 7 inchers are awkward imo, and you will get bored very soon. 10 inch tablets, you can atleast watch movies.

His wife has nexus 4 and he has s4, so if he buys nexus 7 or 10, it will be very much easy to share the content.[/quote'] true but i was in same situation and have no real problem with androd phone and ipad many third party apps sync with both platform and all google services are avalible on ipad and if u use chrome even browser syncs..problem will be buying apps twice but i have come to realize that apps i use on ipad are different from apps i use on phone more over most of content is free
