Hah' date=' if Sehwag starts smashing our bowlers it won't be their shoulders dropping, they will drop their pants and bend over. You guys are in for a batting smorgasbord this Aussie summer, bring your own cutlery and drink, a feast is upon you. Sachin will be on 104 centuries by the end of the test series, Sehwag to beat his best test score, and do it in one day.[/quote'] we looking at a 0-0 series where there is a batting feast then rob?

pattison is a good prospect.Lyon has really improved from the last time i saw him(or the kiwis are really terrible at playing him).Siddle is reliable but not a great threat(just like Ishant, one or two good spells with some dross thrown in)

AUS lineup for me should be: Warner Watson/Marsh Khwaja Ponting Clarke Hussey Haddin Harris Pattinson Starc Lyon
I honestly dont think Harris will make it in time for the first test. Due to big bash there is not much first class cricket played in aus. So chance for return for Harris is really touch and go which the Aussies will not take. Big risk playing Harris, like watson prone to breakdowns.

Harris could make it, would be a gamble though, but they may pick him because he is better than Siddle by miles, but he could break down after one ball, such is his fragility. Could definitely be a 0-0 series, but our batting isn't strong at all, we no champion 4 like India has, who can bat all day and make a huge score- Watson, Clarke, Hussey etc haven't got much of a history between them of really making bowlers pay, only Ponting can do it, and there's no way he will have a golden summer, he is past it. So India should win unless Australia play some amazing cricket, and everyone thats see us play in the last few years would know we just aren't capable with such rank players in the team like Hughes, Siddle, Lyon etc.

If no harris i hope they play bollinger rather than playing the trundler siddle

you are underestimating a team that just beat saffers at home mate... they are a nice side and ponting is back in form and is going to feast on the inexperienced indian bowling lineup... i predict the series in favour of AUS 2-0 or 3-0... certainly no whitewash though... india may squeeze a draw somewhere

i do believe even Bollinger has injury issues. @rob i think your selling Aus short. You won in SL and drew 1-1 in Sa. I think you have Clarke Ponting and Hussey who can bat through the day. Think with India is a lot will hinge on Zaheer khan. Plus the performance of the third seamer. Cant see Ashwin getting much purchase in aus.

Bollinger has been blacklisted after the Ashes 2nd test debacle, he will never play test cricket again, plus he is injured anyway still. Australia will do well if we don't play on roads, but then India might do well too.....if its 4 tests of highways then 0-0, unless one team crumbles under the smallest amount of pressure.

I bet the CA are planning on different kind of pitches to dish out for the Indians... am pretty confident there wont be any roads unless Australia has an early lead in the series

CA has no influence on our curators, at all. We dished out roads for the Poms and we got thrashed. But pretty much all our pitches have been roads for a decade, aside from the weather conditions here and there that spice up things.

india have been the better side in thelast two series played between the two in australia, 2003/04 and 2007/08. our batsmen scored HEAPS of runs in both tours, including a incredible 705/7 that gate crashed steve wog's farewell party. only thing preventing india from winning there is the umpiring. lets hope the aussies dont try to close the gap by paying off the shithouse umpires to give ridiculous decisions, ala sydney 2008.

Aus bowling is underrated. Pattinson, Siddle, Starc, Harris, Lyon: they are quite good. Its upto the Indian superstars to apply themselves and put a 350-400 score at least - to avoid a repeat of Engerland tour. And hope for ZK to be fit, a lot of hope lies on ZK being fit and in form!
