The face-off is still some days away, but India batsman Rohit Sharma has already spotted a chink in the Australian armoury, saying the hosts have problems against swing bowling and his team will look to capitalise on the weakness when the Test series starts in Melbourne on December 26. "That they are having a batting camp is a good sign. Hopefully we know their weaknesses. We will keep that in mind going into the first Test. We will work out whatever we need to; we need to put pressure on them rather than take it on us," Sharma said. Australia have suffered regular batting collapses in the recent past with scores like 47 (against South Africa) and 136 (against New Zealand) recorded in the last month-and-a-half. The worry has got to Cricket Australia and they have ordered a three-day batting camp, beginning at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Monday. "They had some problems against swing bowling. We are putting our thoughts together. There are still 10 days before we play our Test. It's a good time to see what they are doing and what not correctly. We can put pressure on them," he said.

Swing bowling has been the achilles heel of Australia's batting card over the past decade, highlighted emphatically by England last summer, and India have taken heart from their struggles. "It is definitely encouraging as a bowling unit (that Australia are struggling against swing), but our strength as Indians has always been swinging the ball,(:giggle: :dontknow:) so that's what we're going to rely on here as well," Zaheer said last night. Same as Australia in the Ashes. Also never got out for below 100 scores. We are weak against the moving ball yes but Ozzies are so bad they make us look good.

The last team we won in Perth, it was the swing that did the Aussies in. We didnt have any express bowlers back then. Irfan Pathan, RP Singh got most of the wickets and Aussies had much better batsmen back then - Ponting, Hussey, Clarke, Symonds and Gilchrist and they were in good form.

I think its just part of the mind games and Rohit may be performing a role he has been asked to do. After all he is not even sure of a place in the Playing XI.

^ That is the way Dhoni operates. On paper, he is all respectful to the opponent and doesn't indulge in verbals with them. But then, he does shoot from someone else's shoulders. Not new though, he's been doing that since 2007. And its not necessarily a bad thing.
