Everyone was fairly crappy today - Dinda needs to get at least a couple of games before getting dropped. Shakib was too good at the time. Not defending him anyways, don't care. Irfan surely did well since his comeback, this was the worst since his comeback so too harsh on him.

I dont have any confidence in Dinda. Some people say he is fast but I have never seen him trouble batsmen with his pace. Just because he has a rickshaw walla run up and jumps up like a kangaroo before delivery, doesnt mean he is express. He bowls around 120-130 just like PK and Irfan. He also doesnt seem to be mentally strong. Whenever he gets hit for runs, his line and length goes for a toss. The last time he played against Zim in Zim, he was poor along with Umesh Yadav but whereas Yadav came back and got better Dinda doesnt seem to have improved much.

problem is not pk or koomar,its dhoni who is playing them.P.k averages 36 in odis after so many matches how the hell does he never gets dropped and not to mention he averages 67 in india.

I am not much interested in following much cricket in the near future unless we fix up our problems. But I think the fast bowlers are nowadays not properly utilized by Dhoni. Bowlers like PK and Pathan are swing bowlers who are best at the start of the innings. Such bowlers should be given the ball at the early part of the innings in the first 15 overs and neither of them have done bad in that period. In the death overs, pace is needed and so, somebody like Yadav or even Zak are needed in those scenarios. I do not understand why players like PK and Pathan are only given 2-3 in the early part of the innings. Their quota of overs should be completed in two spells in the first 10-15 overs and then in the middle of the innings when the ball is still seaming a bit. Dhoni is seriously lacking a lot of ideas and also his field placings have deteriorated over the years. His batting is becoming better again which is good but he also needs to fix his captaincy.

I think he dropped a catch yesterday right? Don't remember who was the batsman then. Sometimes he behaves like an idiot both in bowling and fielding!

India's problem has always been bowling at the death. They give away too many runs in the end overs. Even in the World Cup, the two games we did poorly, one tied against England and another game lost against South Africa were games we failed to defend 300+ totals. We need a couple of bowlers in every match who can bowl yorkers and change of pace consistently at the death. Otherwise, it will always be a struggle to defend totals on placid sub continent tracks.

Yeah, but he was effective once. That's why he was called then during power play and he did well. Not so these days.

Dinda should be getting more chances, but it was shocking to see Pathan in the death overs.. even after the experience he has got, he was bowling juicy full tosses in the 48th over.
