Oh Really !! Then Zaheer Khan was bowling at only 120-121 k most of the times, right ! What stupidity ! :haha: Do you guys understand the meaning of conditions, the atmosphere, the weather, the food, the air(heavier or lighter), the pitch level, the ground level, the soil, the importance of a big series and the preparations for a big series? Bloody clowns start questioning speed guns. Answer me, can't a bowler raise his standards up by 5 ks. If Ishant was bowling at 145 in India, why can't he raise his standard to 150 k? can't you see, he was bowling continuously around 150 k in his first spell, not 1 odd ball. I don't understand you guys, you have problems when a bowler don't bowl at good speeds and you people start questioning speed guns when a bowler bowls at good speeds

if ishant picks up wickets then india would nail aussie batsman..the two bowlers are keeping it tight and picking wickets regularly..and secret of test match win is to chip away with wickets regularly

On the last Aus tour or in 2003, none of our bowlers hit 140 in test matches. Top speed was 138-139 from RPS in 2008. Ishant was around 133-134 in the tests he played, Irfan around 131-132.

What we need is more consistency from Ishant and some luck for him as well to convert all those missed edges into wickets. Even 2-3 wickets from him would help the other 3 bowlers.

More so we need the inswinger back ,When he was bowling well ,some time he used to spray ball down the legside as his wrist was falling and he was losing pace so he changed his action now he has a more upright seam and ball is further back in his hand but has lost the big inswinger he had ,He was umplayable for right handers in 2008 you name it guys like kallis,ponting were struggling as the ball was cutting inside so much and some straightened but now its straight up and down stuff,I would well sacrifice 5kmph for the inswing to be back.

Man, even Australians are so impressed by Indian pace attack that there are 2 Indian pacers who can bowl at 150 k clicks. Everyone in Aus is saying- India has found their 3rd quality seamer. They were not even expected this in their wildest dreams, from India's pace attack. Common question in Australia atm- are these Indian bowlers

Might have done that for a ball or two, but his average was around 133-134. In fact bowled a plenty of deliveries at 128-129. Here, these bowlers have hardly bowled a ball below 140.

^no Ishant ws younger then and he was consistenly hitting 140 and mid 140s then. Speed GUns have no uniformity...Even Siddle's speed are better than what he did in SA. Even MJ was in late 130s an early 140s in SA and I have seen him bowl late 140s in Australia. Speed Guns needs to be calibrated properly all over.

the track has nothing to do with speed,its out of the hand.speed guns in Aus do tend to show higher speeds.Ishant's max in WI series was 146,now hes hit 150 couple of times already

Lower your speed, lower is difference. Zak did bowl few around 139 and early 140s. There is definately difference..

I know that. But tell me where would you see a pacer putting the extra effort? On a dead track or a track where there is more life? A speed gun can't be wrong if it shows 4-5 pacers in a match consistently over 140. BTW the same speed gun also showed some deliveries of Umesh' over post tea at 134 and 137. The moment he put in the extra effort, he was up to 145-146. As for Ishant he was around 147-148 and consistently over 140 in WI as well where the track had more bounce. You could see him run harder and trying to bowl fast today, could be due to frustration at not picking too many wickets, or the way Yadav has been bowling or due to the team management giving the two pacers the license to go flat out and bowl at their quickest.
