With the SL test series canceled, in reality the next test series we play could be the one vs England! What a time it will be to go with a new look side, new captain and a new coach. MSD's position as a test captain is untenable now. If GG was identified as the next one in line, let him be made the skipper. Lack of alternatives cannot be the excuse to keep MSD as captain anymore. RD and VVS would most likely call it a day now. Sehwag needs to go back to the middle order. We have never played a test series in Aus/Sept at home. T20 WC starts in September followed by CLt20 immediately after which we play the Eng series from Nov 2012-Jan2013 which is then followed by 4 tests vs Aus in Feb-mar and then the IPL6. Which means expect the NZ series to be canceled or converted to an ODIs only series.

Dhoni should quit captaincy . I think among seniors Dravid and Laxman are going to retire sooner so they shouldnt be dropped right away after this series but should be allowed to feature in the next series or match as there farewell encounter so that we can bid adieu to them in the right manner they deserve .

It wouldnt change neither should it change too. IPL is the most profitable venture of BCCI so they wouldnt change anyway. IPl shouldnt change because its the best way for cricket fans living in India to go to stadium and watch cricket.Take ChennaiBefore IPL we had atbest 3-4 ODIS in last 10 years in chennai which has a population of more than 1 core.And most of the tickets are given to friends and affiliated clubs by BCCI administrators .And we arent talking about Tamil nadu the state which has 6 crore population. How many do u think get a chance to watch international cricket in those years.IPL is first time many fans in India get a chance to go to stadium and enjoy cricket and see Sachin and Dravid bat.If not for IPL most would never have an opportunity to watch these guys play apart from TV. Thats why regardless of few test fans moaning most in India love IPL its not just because its T20.Thats why IPL is best thing happened in Indian cricket from a fans perspective.

Blaming IPL is pretty lame, IMO. Just a convenient scapegoat. India is not the only nation that has a domestic T20 competition. England does. So does Aus. If this T20 is tiring excuse were to hold true, their players would be 'tired' too.

their tournaments takes place while the national team is playing international cricket so the international players dont even take part in it but in india everything comes to stand still when Ipl starts. but i agree that its pretty lame to blame IPL for India's problems

I think sacking of Dhoni and VVS retiring should be two immediate steps. Lols at people voted for Sahchin retiring. The only guy in batting line up who seems to be in touch and performing, and you want him to retire. Who do you replace him with? Badri?
