Indian batsmen will have to face a pacy green pitch at WACA... http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/series-tournaments/india-in-australia/top-stories/3rd-Test-Team-India-faces-green-reality-at-Perth/articleshow/11417650.cms An excerpt from the article...

The pitch that was being used for Sunday's Big Bash game between Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers had a healthy tinge of green despite it being a T20 tie. The carry to the wicketkeeper was exceptional. The worrying part for India is that but for the pitch, the entire playing arena, including the square, resembles a shiny green carpet. WACA curator Cameron Sutherland made no bones about the fact that the pitch here would offer plenty of pace and bounce.

If its the same pitch as the one used during the Big Bash, it's not as pacy and didn't have much lateral movement off the track. There was adequate bounce on it, but very consistent and it was good for stroke play. For the test match, they will water it for the next 2-3 days and maybe the grass cover will go up to aid lateral movement. A pitch with lot of movement is something that will make our bowling look stronger and will keep us in the game like the case at MCG. The onus will be on the batsmen t ensure we somehow score 300 if we bat first.

Will Indian team cross 300? Will the match go to 5th day? Will we be able to prevent a Oz batsmen from making 300?
An in-form England team struggled to cross 200 twice on similar pitch I doubt we'd be anywhere close to 300. And our bowling being sub-par we're in for a hammering again. :((

Yes..it looked the batting beauty and if they play on same pitch this can be a run fest. I have never seen that kind of easy paced and good bounce track at WACA.

He bowled like a workhorse throughout the England tour, sometimes even bowling 30 overs a day because Zaheer was injured in the first day of first test and we were down to 3 bowlers. His fitness is actually very good but Indian bowlers get over worked and that leads to injuries and mental fatigue. I mean look at Ishant. The guy has been playing tests non stop from West Indies tour(where he bowled the best in his whole career) and he bowls 140+ on a consistent basis. That's 3+4+2 = 9 tests continuously so far bowling at top speed. No wonder he looks worn out and tired and that affects his accuracy.

They probably know their going to get whopped either way' date=' at least use this opportunity to tour Australia. :winky:[/quote'] This is the main difference between the attitude of both the teams. Aussies went on a extended practice camp in prepare after their defeat by the Kiwis with all the players participating.
