rkt.india Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 he really wasnt good in south african conditions and in england he never proved himeself i dont remeb new zealand but in tests last time around it was gambhir who scored big not sehwag so tbh u cant compare him to tendulkar who has avg of more than 40 in every country or dravid all players are valuable in diff ways not saying sehwag isnt good over seas but u can only call him better if he performs there he always performed in australia but is unproven in swingy conditions He has test centuries both in SA and England so what to prove here.

saneindian Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 In test cricket, doubt if anyone will have such a long and successful career and continnue to bat the way Sehwag has for the last 10 years.Still has 3-4 years to go which should see him cross the 10k mark in both the formats, legendary stuff. However, his failures in SA, Eng and NZ will go against him everytime there is a debate on his being an ATG. Said this last year, he needs to have a good series in SA and Eng to put an end to all debates on his ability to bat in difficult conditions. Unfortunately he struggled in both the series, majorly due to over aggression. A good series in Aus on pitches which now look livelier than they have been in recent times, will answer some of the concerns and then in another couple of years he will get another shot to improve his record in Eng and SA.

MCcricket Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 It is simple Sehwag the greatest test and ODI winner for India, will be a all time g8 when he retires, I have watched , Richard , Lara, Tendulkar, Mark Waugh, no one is as distructive , consistent, over such a long period , that S/R ,HE IS THE ONE MAN THAT CAN CHANGE THE RESULT OF A TEST MATCH OR odi in couple of hours,no one can claim that.
