The Outsider Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Obviously, the selection committee has learned nothing. There is a World Cup to be played in Australia in 3 years and this is probably our last tour to Australia before that. It was the perfect opportunity for someone like Rahane to get a hang of these conditions. Will Tendulkar be there 3 years later? Even if he is, will he learn anything from a long term perspective to perform in the World Cup? Will Sehwag be there in 3 years time? 3 years later when Rahane is thrown into the deep end in a crucial World Cup match on a bouncy Perth wicket, what will his chances be of performing? One would have thought a 0-7 scoreline will knock some sense into the selectors, but absolutely nothing.

So thats not a concern but yeah playing Sachin in ODI's is meaningless given he has no future in team. Its time selectors kept teams above individual.

Give him a break pls! :icflove:
Needforspeed Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Playing SRT in the ODI series is a good move. Looking forward to some vintage Sachin shots. If he is able to get his 100th 100 in the ODIs, we will be able to see some classic Sachin innings after that. RD and VVS should retire after this Aussie series and Sachin after the England series. You cant change the entire batting order in one go.
Singham Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 how the EFF is Varun Aaron still injured??? what is the support staff doing? physiotherapists? The guy played like 2 games ...unbelievable stuff He already had this stress fracture injury. It takes time to heal. Its good he is not rushing to get back.
Needforspeed Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Rahane dropped for what reason? No Vacancy. Which batsman to drop for him?
skindia Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 atleast rahane got continuous chances while uthappa's career ruined by floating here and there despite good record as opener.
virufan Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Sachin should have opted out. Whats the point in playing ODIs when he skipped the series vs WI and Eng? And Parthiv again? Despite all his failures. What wrong has Saha done to be tagged as a Test specialist? Remember Parthiv is CSK man? But surprised since Saha also is
virufan Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Why Umesh Yadav' date=' they should have let him rest, bought in Abu Nechim or somebody else, fecking ****, if he breaks down , they are left with no body ?????? Where is the policy to rotate the bowlers, preserving bowlers ???[/quote'] We also need to win the ODI series as a consolation right? Why remove him when he is doing well. Lets rest him subcontinent series like we did PK after England tour.
J P K Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Remember Parthiv is CSK man? But surprised since Saha also is no prathiv was csk`s man now it`s saha i can never understand this lahori logic in blaming csk for team selections
Needforspeed Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 no prathiv was csk`s man now it`s saha i can never understand this lahori logic in blaming csk for team selections Parthiv is IPL unemployed now. Was with Kochi Coconuts
skindia Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 DK is far better than parthiv or saha but his career also ruined by playing him as opener.
Sooda Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Tendulkar should have retired after the WC win, from ODIs. Ideally him, Sehwag and Zak would have been replaced by Rahane, Mukund and if not Varun then maybe ANechim Ahmed
rkt.india Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Tendulkar should have retired after the WC win' date=' from ODIs. Ideally him, Sehwag and Zak would have been replaced by Rahane, Mukund and if not Varun then maybe ANechim Ahmed[/quote'] Abu Nechim Ahmed must feel unfortunate to be overlooked for talentless 8th wonder Whinay Kumar.
asterix Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Abu Nechim Ahmed must be unfortunate to be overlooked for talentless 8th wonder Whinay Kumar. Any chances of him joining CSK? That fake madrasi selector of East zone is not helping in any way..He should relocate to either Bangalore or Chennai..
virufan Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Yep this is most probably going to be the starting line up, but Sehwag will probably be there instead of Sharma considering how the selectors think. Also PK for Irfan - dont personallt agree with either. However as already mentioned above Munaf should have been there instead of Vinay, Rahane instead of Raina and is Aaron dropped or still injured? It seems stupid to keep persisting with rubbish like Vinay, Parthiv and even Raina needs to be taught a lesson. Raina does well in ODIs. What lesson needs to be taught to him:hmmmm:
virufan Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Tendulkar should have retired after the WC win' date=' from ODIs. Ideally him, Sehwag and Zak would have been replaced by Rahane, Mukund and if not Varun then maybe ANechim Ahmed[/quote'] Then Sehwag would never have hit that 200.:--D

Tendulkar is supposed to have asked him to relocate to Mumbai, but he is too attached to Assam. Thats what he said in an interview anyway.

Thats what he said in an interview anyway. Then nobody can help him..Even relocating to Mumbai will not help. He needs to relocate to either Chennai or Bangaluru..
