tests are anyways dying. in odis we are competitive everywhere.
No we're not that competitive in Odis. We are pretty **** side in Odis overseas too. Even in t20s our future generation was exposed on bouncy pitches.

Where did we win in ODIs overseas recently? We came close to win in South Africa but that was because of the individual brilliance of some players rather than the overall team.

After drawing flak from all quarters following India's disastrous performance in the Test series against Australia, BCCI president N Srinivasan came out with a bizarre defence of the team saying all top teams would lose when they play on Indian soil. "England won 5-0 in England. They came here here within a month or two and they lost 5-0. Last time, after our loss to England, I had said that we will beat them when they visit India," Srinivasan said in defence of the team's dismal overseas performance in the past one year which has seen Dhoni and Co lose seven consecutive Tests. Srinivasan reasoned that Australia did well as they used home conditions to good effect. "It is a case of Australians played better in their home conditions," he added. The BCCI president who is also the owner of IPL team Chennai Super Kings feels that once India plays and beats teams like New Zealand, England and Australia in the coming months, everyone will "feel very happy." "Next New Zealand is coming to India and it will be followed by England and Australia. We will beat these three teams on our own soil. They cannot beat us here and we will feel very happy." http://sports.ndtv.com/ind-aus-2011/news/item/183998-india-vs-australia-we-will-beat-australia-at-home-says-srinivasan In case you're wondering, its not satirical :sick::sick::sick::sick::sick:
I just hope that he doesn't make his cement so half-heartedly. :roti:

He's kinda' right. We don't play them outside for 2 years now and people will forget and move on eventually. Maybe we'll win the T20 WC in the process too. He's a fool for saying it out loud though.

If India can reallly thrash all oppositions in the same manner they are doing to us, then it makes some sense. I don't think the teams that come here will not even be owning individual sessions. At the best India will manage 1-0 or 2-0 and how is this any compensation for consecutive away white washes. No wonder India can't win overseas, they do not even want to,

Disagree. Under Ganguly/kumble/dravid we we doing well abroad despite home pitches. This humilation abroad goes beyond understanding. It may even impact home performances unless we change captain/coach and players.
Not really. The only country where you won a series of any significance was in England. You've always been a bad side away.

Fail. SA 2010 1-1. Almost won the series if it wasnt for Kallis knock in the final innings. Aus 2008 2-1 (with the dubious Sydney test) Aus 2003-04 1-1(this is the great Steve Waugh side) Almost won the series if it wasnt for Steve Waugh's knock in the final innings. Won the previous two West Indies tours and also in New Zealand. Won the last tour of Pakistan and drew in Sri Lanka. Of course, Eng 2007 1-0
