vvvslaxman Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 If Karthick is the best replacement available Dhoni's place wont be threatened for next 5-6 years. Only thing that goes in favor of Dhoni is his keeping ahead of others. Not by much. As far as his batting goes KKD, Parthiv both would trump him outside subcontinent.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Stats look good. Saha is a hack.may even get a pair in adelaide. And we need to kick these tenvic quota players out.kumble is ruinong his legacy with tenvic.sooner or later the tenvic will be closed down. Sent from my GT-I9103 using Tapatalk
BeautifulGame Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Why? he is better batsman than dhoni in tests and regarding keeping yes he is not as good as dhoni to spinners but he would have improved in last few years. Karthick batting has regressed from what i seen in last 2 years in Ranji trophy unfortunately.
India-KXIP fan Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 bump Why has he not been tried yet! Kaul>Saha Atleast put him in A team
vamos_rafa Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 MS is now training with the indian army so that his "stats" can improve.
vvvslaxman Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Dhoni's major problem is tests. In one dayers regardless of conditions he does well.
Tiger-Don Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Uday Kaul played in our DPL this year and he really did well with his batting but dont know about his keeping
Executioner Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Only thing that goes in favor of Dhoni is his keeping ahead of others. Not by much. As far as his batting goes KKD' date=' Parthiv both would trump him outside subcontinent.[/quote'] no way, Dhoni is a way better batsman than those u mentioned. I dont seek Karthik or pappu coming even close to dhoni
vvvslaxman Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 no way' date=' Dhoni is a way better batsman than those u mentioned. I dont seek Karthik or pappu coming even close to dhoni[/quote'] Only abroad conditions when balls is swinging around. Dhoni is a terrific batsman in certain conditions. But doesn't have the proper defensive technique when the ball is jagging around.
Sidhoni Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Only thing that goes in favor of Dhoni is his keeping ahead of others. Not by much. As far as his batting goes KKD' date=' [b']Parthiv both would trump him outside subcontinent.
vvvslaxman Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012  He is not going to be a century maker. But he has better survival technique on certain kind of pitches where Dhoni just throw the bat around not knowing what to do.

As far as his batting goes KKD' date= Parthiv both would trump him outside subcontinent. Thread is not about those players who have done chit with the many oppurtunities they were given. It's about someone with a much better FC record (Bat avg. 49) who has not even been tried or considered once. Hes 24 now aswell.
Number Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 In batting I don't have much hopes from Saha too, his keeping is good though. Also he is already 28-29.
Vilander Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 But but parthiv patel can hook better:protest: when someone bowls a knee high ball in jolly medium pace, parthiv because of his high advantage hooks it and makes it look stylish.
MCcricket Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 In batting I don't have much hopes from Saha too' date=' his keeping is good though. Also he is already 28-29.[/quote'] Saha is a very good batsmen, very gritty, purely based on merit he should be out keeper.
vipin Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Uday Kaul has a S/R of 41 in domestics. In internationals he'll probably end up striking at something like 25.
jind Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 He seems to have given up the keeping for Punjab lately and usually misses out in the zonal matches. The Punjab team is likely to become stronger as the youngsters like Mandeep, Kaul, Gurkeerat, Amitoze gain more experience. Reminds me of the Karnataka team a few years back.
superstar Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 What happened to Bisla? I thought some people proposed his name last month :D
