nah i will never give ishant or sreesanth these many slips too inconsistent for that
Look at scorecard. If 2 wickets down for just 6 runs in a test, Captain should do that, even if for a short period-it can really pay off and if it fails you have only given away a few more runs. This is where Sree would be much more awesome than Dhoni. Can see him putting psychological pressure on new batsman by crowding them. Of course Ishant never gets 2 quick wickets, so he should always have defensive field from beginning, batsmen rarely egde his deliveries behind :cantstop:

eh but u cant be sure.. team could get to 50-2 in no time and momentum could all change sreesanth problem is he is not gonna set up people he is gonna keep bowliing inconsistently thats not how u set up people u need to build little pressure and then bowl to weakness of batsmen .. well again this is thread derailing he is not even in team no need to talk abt him

You mentioned him first. Ok let us not derail thread. Will just say Gillespie here is building pressure and outhinking batsmen. Sree could learn a thing or two here but he mainly bowls magical deliveries. Doesn't need to rely on building pressure. But bowling accurate while waiting for that class delivery would help keep runs down.

You need a bit of variation lot of accuracy to set up a batsman. Ishant has neither. Zak is good at that. But he is aging and his zip is lost somewhat. Our bowling is so much impotent that we don't know where the next wicket is going to come from. Former fast bowlers local or foreign should be invited to help young bowlers grow.

When I see mentally challenged Sree and hardworking Ishant in action,I realize what a good bowler RP was.His decline from a very good bowler to a mediocre bowler in space of 7-8 months after Oz tour 2008 has been disappointing.

Ishant can learn a thing or two from Gillespe, he wasn't out n out fast bowler, was tall and used to bowl around 135-140k was pretty consistent with his length though. Ishant just sprays around.

+1, don't think Zak will be around much longer but still our best seamer.

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:. Well said if u give them that many slips, their first 10 over will be 0-100. Idiots failed to contain runs with field wide spread, imagine them like that. Lol warner toyed ishant for sixes as if he is a gully-bukapakir bowler.

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:,Are u Dhoni? R.p singh has lacked the will to bowl on flat pitches in tests,He needs to lose weight and get the hunger back, but with ipl its hard with all the money players get.

People have such short memory,Ishant was one of best bowler in the world in 2008-09 and now he is useless? We should be asking what was he doing right to get wickets on flat tracks in india against top class batting lineup.he has problems and real problem is the advice he is getting.

:cantstop: You need bit of brain to learn things.. Stupid player will always remain stupid..
You are so ignorant. He was not stupid when he troubled Ponting. He was not stupid when he won MOS against Aus in India. He was not stupid when he rattled Mahela and Thilan on patta of SL, He was not stupid when he turned the game on its head at Eden against SA by bowling awesome short stuff to Amla. He was not stupid when he took 22 wickets in WI. He was not stupid when he was highest wicket taker in CB series in 2008. He was not stupid when the only match we could win against NZ at home because he bowled some good spells. He was not stupid when he bowled great spell at Mohali in 2010 against Aussies. He was not stupid when he almost turned the test at Lords 2011. and you are saying he is stupid.

How good bowler RP was. He was below par Ishant and in India he was poor. RP was nothing special, was more inconsistent than Ishant. There was 1-2 four ball in every over of his. You guys have such a shot memories. There is no other bowlers who have bowled more effective and impact spells than Ishant in tests bar Zak probably.

But you cannot possibly defend a guy who averages 73 in Australia 58 in England 48 in SA 49 in SL 41 in NZ
