NareshK Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 What are you' date=' a college kid who holds a idealistic view of the world? In the real world, people can't be blunt when telling the truth and sometimes can't tell the truth until a appropriate period in private and almost always not in public.[/quote'] There is nothing wrong about what he said. Its just media and some people like to twist things and make them into something which they are not which is ridiculous.
anotherhawkeye Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 If veeru or GG captains the side in the next match and we win, they can get back at dhoni by saying "we won because of better wicket keeping...poor wicket keeping and poor captaincy used to costs us several wickets and 50 runs per match"...wouldn't that be something?

Lankan tails are up and they see a chance of qualifying there... Dhoni's lucky (actually worked very hard) to get this ban.. You need these periodic bans to tell everybody who rules in Indian cricket.. Jab Jab Is Indian Cricket Mein Paap Barhega..Tab Tab Gadadhari Dhoni Paap Ka Khatma Karney, Ban Kei Baad Wapas Aayega..
anotherhawkeye Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 ^ sometimes I wish I know how to understand Hindi..
Prakat Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 ^ When when evil grows in Indian Cricket...then then mace-wielder Dhoni will return from a ban(vas) to vanquish it.
Magneto Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Good time for a sting operation in the dressing room of the Indian team to figure out what's brewing inside! Star News, :hello: are you listening?
J P K Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I think Dhoni has enough say in squad selection or may be I am wrong. But this has all the makings of Greg Chappel part II' date='unnecessary statements being passed, idiotic policies for a tournament that will be played 3-4 years later.Something bizzare is going on.I just hope all is well within the team.[/quote'] http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=277229
The Realist Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Consistently losing by huge margins don't help either.
IKnowU Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I would like to point out at the match yesterday I saw something interesting. For the post match interviews, Dhoni on the field with the Indian Media manager were talking for a solid 5 mins with various emotions. Not that there was a bad vibe to it, but just their conversation. I think they were discussing what points to mention and what not to, wording etc. After the 5mins he went to Mark Nicholas and started the interview.
Robelinda Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I'm sure team INDIA has some great spirit going on- Gambhir says Dhoni too slow Dhoni says Sachin/Gambhir/Sehwag too slow Gambhir says Sachin is too old Dhoni gets banned twice in 2 months

amiret Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Even after the humiliating Test defeats in England and Australia, the India team members always maintained that all was well whenever team unity was questioned. But skipper MS Dhoni's dig on Sunday at seniors Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir has strengthened the feeling that things aren't so smooth in the squad. After India's mauling by Australia in the CB Series match, Dhoni said he would prefer a Suresh Raina or Rohit Sharma to the three bigwigs due to their fielding abilities. Though the World Cup-winning skipper, who will be suspended for Tuesday's game against Sri Lanka due to the team's slow over-rate on Sunday, said the trio was "not bad but slower fielders", his explanation for resting them in turn is less than convincing. Once Tendulkar made himself available for the tri-series, the team balance was always going to be affected. Dhoni and coach Duncan Fletcher then adopted a rotational policy among the openers to "give more opportunities to Sharma and Raina". It is learnt the decision hasn't gone down well with them. ganeshran Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 He is right that senior batsmen cost runs in the field, but IMO this should have been addressed within the dressing room
Viki_J Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Dhoni's comment on Sachin Tendulkar, Sehwag evokes sharp criticism Brisbane: Feb 20, 2012 Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's public dig at senior players like Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag has evoked sharp reactions and is seen as an indication of smouldering dissensions within the team. After yet another bad day on the field which resulted in a crushing 110-run defeat for his team at the hands of Australia yesterday, Dhoni defended the policy of rotating senior players like Tendulkar, Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. He is the best Indian keeper. Don't take the rookie Saha's name now
