I don't know where you saw the same :dontknow: I saw Dinda against Zim in that tri-series in Zim and also in Asia Cup and all I can say is he was cr@p against Zim and hadn't improved one bit in Asia Cup. He was lucky to get away against Pakis who somehow couldn't put his friendly full-tosses away. If you freeze against the likes of Zimboks and Bangbros' date=' intl cricket is not for you and I am sorry, I have seen enough of Dinda. The guy is just another trundler and I have no idea how he managed to take wkts at domestic level based on what I've seen of him at intl level.[/quote'] To be fair, Dinda looks like a great domestic bowler who will find it difficult to cut out at the international level.

Plus he is a specialist death overs bowler as well. I understand your point and even I have not passed him in my books yet. But before completely dumping him from my team, I would like to see him in few matches of IPL. I know he has ability to do better but maybe he have to work more harder. Maybe whatever hardwork he is doing is not good enough. BTW, tomorrow he is most likely to play against Mumbai :yay:

Praveen is part of the Kings XI team. So, all this exposure would be of great help to me," Dawes said during an interview. "It will give me a look into all the venues around the country that I have not been to so far. IPL will help me understand Indian cricketers better," said Dawes, who is also Kings XI Punjab's bowling coach in the IPL. Dawes replaced fellow Australian and former pacer Jason Gillespie, who moved to Yorkshire as head coach, to become the Punjab outfit's bowling coach. The Queenslander briefly spent time with the Indian team during the Asia Cup in Mirpur, where India failed to qualify for the finals. Dawes was seen bowling to Sachin Tendulkar in the nets on a day of optional training at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium during the Asia Cup and the 41-year-old said it was a "great privilege" for him bowling to the senior India batsman. "It was great fun. To be involved with the Indian cricket team is a great honour and it's a great privilege bowling to Sachin Tendulkar. He even offered few tips to me. He had a good nets session that day and next day he hit the 100th hundred." For Dawes, assisting Sachin "in any way" is a privilege. "It's great to be assisting him in any way I can. He is a fantastic cricketer. And as a coach, to be able to mix with someone like Sachin is great honour and privilege," he said. Talking about Kings XI Punjab's chances this IPL season, Dawes said, "Last year, one win eluded them from getting into semi-finals. It's good that they are improving and skipper ( Adam) Gilchrist and Colonel ( Arvinder Singh, COO, KXIP) have added some players to the squad. We are hoping to make the play-off stages this time and give the opponents a tough time." KXIP will meet the inaugural edition champions Rajasthan Royals in their lung opener at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday. Punjab, the 2008 semi-finalists, registered a fifth-place finish last season, an improved showing from the 2010 season when they had ended at the bottom of the points table with only four wins. Asked about KXIP's bowling attack, which looks short of experience, in the absence of big names, Dawes said, "With Praveen, Ryan Harris, Stuart Broad and Azhar Mahmood, we have some good bowlers with international cricket. Well we are passionate fans of Indian cricket and have hopes that we can have a lethal fast bowling attack, yes we have the talent but someone needs to take personal interest, as in general knowledge about bowlers and grooming the ones which have real potential is not so common here,Shami Ahmed , Anwar Ahmed, Manpreet Gony, Sudeep Tyagi, are the bowler who can make it big, these bowlers will be on display in IPL. Anwar Ahmed, P Parmeswaran, VRV Singh unfortunately are not playing in the IPL, Rahul Shukla is a young pacer, said to be fast , so one to look out for definitely, we want to see a culture of fast bowlers playing for India not medium pacers who have high average and strike rates.

Haven't he been able to find even 1 decent bowler from Punjab' date=' rather than these PK and Harmeet Singh, super trundlers? :WTF:[/quote'] It is too early and he cannot make drastic changes also he is the bowling coach not the coach or capt,VRV AND Gony ar the best bowlers from Punjab, both when fit can play for India, Punjab 11s team is a bit weak, once the overseas players comeback their team will get stronger, S Srivastav and Awana are the only options for him, DD has the best pace options, I hope CSK loose.

And without atleast 3-4 decent fast bowlers, we just can't any matches

Now that we are into final weeks of IPL, Joe being the bowling coach of Kings XI he should have a good idea of our over all talent in bowling and batting, IPL is not exactly test cricket but it can give u a glimpse into the talent we have, barring VRV, Shami, Suyal, Anwar Ahmed who he hopefully will see sooner then later,since next few months we do not have much cricket . This can be an ideal platform to plan, formulate strategies, choose horses for courses , as he has to trust himself and Fletcher as selectors do not have direction or knowledge to choose the right players, especially as we are not travelling for atleast a year more at home new talent can be introduced and prepared for tours of Australia, England, SA, also world cup. Aaron, Umesh, Zak as mentor, Ishant, should be the cutting edge of our pace attack, experienced pros making a comeback,Gony, VRV, TYAGI, PANKAJ, should be nursed back to full recovery and they can be very useful, Awana , Ahmed , Anwar, Shami, Suyal, Shukla,can be groomed and play A tours , ODI'S. BOWLERS WHO NEED MOST HELP MITHUN, YO MAHESH, Pankaj Singh, Shukla, VRV as they are either coming back from injury or have a flawed action.It is time we choose different captains and teams for different formats, where players can get some more rest and an off season to recover and work on their game. Time for next gen batters also be exposed to test/odi cricket, Surya Kumar, M Pandey, Mandeep, Rahane, Rohit, Pujara, Murali, Mukund, wish BCCI would send a bigger squad and have Fletcher , Dawes work on next gen cricketers, at NCA before and after the A tour to WI.

Indian bowling looks very weak, coach and selectors need to chalk a plan as we have a year until we have tours outside the sub continent. ODI AND TEST bowling looks to be looked at seriously, Dinda, pk, vk MIGHT NOT BE THE ANSWER, LET SHAMI, AWANA, ABU ECHIM, SUYAL, ANWAR AHMED GET SOME CHANCES, specially Shami ahmed needs to be looked at as he has the talent to bowl at pace and take wickets and can be useful in any format, Anwar Ahmed could be a good understudy for odi game, at 6 "5' and a left hander wonder if selectors are following the game, Abu nechim similar in style and pace to Malinga and needs to be looked at in ODI'S. UMESH, AARON, ISHANT, SHAMI FOR TEST'S,Awana, Shami, Abu for odi's, also Sreesanth, VRV, TYAGI, GONY NEED TO BE GROOMED AND MONITORED.
