He claimed $1 per person, We went 8 blocks, and I offered to pay as per 1$/person (we were 4 - I paid $5), he laughed and said it was $1/person/block. So, I ended up paying him 32 bucks. Felt like an Idiot. He was a student (a young kid from Phillipines), so I didn't mind giving him the money. We do the same thing with foreigners who come to India, not only the taxi or rickshaw drivers, but even 2 or 3 star hotels and restaurant waiters, everyone tries to make the most of this opportunity everywhere in India. These things happens in all parts of the world

'Rickshaw' is not the official word that's linked to every human powered vehicle...in fact several other words are often used all over the world to define vehicles similar to rickshaw build and it's not like origin of 'Rickshaw' was coined in Sanskrit...so why the hate on America chump?
