India's test middle order

I am not really buying that. He had an outstanding series against West INdies. It is not really possible he loses his charm only against good teams.

IMO, ODIs are not his best format. His ways are pretty much like VVS laxman. Both depend on boundaries rather than 1s and 2s, which makes ODIs had for him as he bats in middle order and when bowling is good field is tight he struggles to rotate strike and then plays foolish shots, he lacks the patience which Kohli has, but this wont be a problem in tests where there is no pressure to score 4-5 runs. HE can play big shots and can stay on the wicket, but he tried too many flashy shots in Aus because of his lack of 1s and 2s.

bro.. he has some technical issues on bouncey tracks lets accept it now.. he failed badly in cb series now and badly in south africa.. he will do well inside india im sure.. and dont give example of 2008 cb series cos it was long time ago! one good innings and so many failures i clearly remember back then he played along the ground lot more .. now he goes in air every time there is lil pressure bad habits? or maybe inability to rotate strike w/o risk i really hopes he comes good but right now i dont see him succeeding in away matches

As i said you watch the ind vs aus wt20 match at jamaica when the aussie fast bowlers ripped our batting,even though it was at20 ,you could see how he hooked and pulled guys bowling at 150km/h when others could nto even score 10 runs he scored 79. His problem is shot selection ,not technical .He has to keep the ball on the ground as you say more.

first dont bring t20 while discussing technique if u do then umar akmal is better then rest :winky: 2nd.. in odis west idnies pitches were low and slow ... rememb mishra,bhajji doing damage ? itsi n tests where they created those bowling friendly tracks.. watch odi matches again :D

Its not that technique is not tested in t20 particularly in challenging conditions ,in t20 worldcup in sa he saved us there also when picthes had something in them .In odis in wi our other batsman also did worse even if pitches were not as bouncy as tests.
